I also bought from bmw of Alexandria, but I’m closer to the bmore area. We may just bump into each other on delivery day 😅

Just recently put down a deposit for my G80 X Drive at BMW of Alexandria. Roughly how long did it take for you to get your allocation? Put the deposit down on 2/27 and Andrii (CA) said it would probably be allocated in April. Does that timeline make sense?

I put my deposit in 2/3 and was told the same by a different CA at the dealer. Please temper your expectations, as I was number 12 for the xDrive, you're probably behind me. With current delays and the BMW factory halting due to the war in Ukraine you and I could be waiting a while.

I went in about 2 weeks ago to see a color combo that matched mine, and was told that car was ordered in August! That's 7 months, so *if* you can I get production in April or may we could potentially be looking at October/November delivery.

I hate to be a pessimist but this situation has turned me into that

My 530i got to Here on 3/2 and is sitting at the VPC with the PMA and RAM stop sale. I was given an ETA of 3/9 and headed to my dealership in Towson on 3/10. Doubt it would be ready be ready by then as I thought it was just the RAM and but now this PMA smh.

I kind of figured this was going to be the case. I was cautiously hopeful when the CA told me that the car would be here by July but more realistically was thinking October. What color combo did you go with?

Hey, maybe they know something we don't? Probably guaranteeing a deposit lol.

I went with Brooklyn grey and Kyalami Orange, so nothing individual. What did you do?

Well the wait is finally over. I ordered a G83 back in October and was stuck in QC hell for 2 months and had stop sales for the RAM. Car finally arrived at the dealer yesterday and picking it up today. I haven't seen any G83s on the road yet so first time seeing it in person. I'm heading straight to the PPF installer after pick up to have the entire car wrapped in stealth.

MY experience with the VPC timeline was like this.

-2/14 Car arrived at port
-2/18 Work order opened for the RAM stop sales
-2/25 Work order closed and stop sales cleared
-3/7 In transit to dealership
-3/7 at the dealership

Picking up today.

Put my deposit for an M3 xDrive down back in December with BMW of Alexandria and was told last week I was number 1 on the waitlist, but they got no allocations this round, unfortunately -- was really hoping I'd get in before they probably stop allocations for a while, but it is what it is and there are certainly bigger problems in the world to worry about right now, so I can't complain too much.

Quick question about personal property tax. Anyone know if all the options are calculated for the yearly taxes or just the base price of the car. I am putting money away in savings to account for it later this year.

You being in VA its calculated yearly and you and pay it every six months. It will be high at first but goes down as the vehicle depreciates . If you are military, then you will be exempt from paying it. I live in MD but I am from VA and while I was on Active Duty I never paid personal property tax on a vehicle. Just send a copy of an LES to them .

Them not getting any allocations is a punch in the gut, they are supposed to be a high volume M dealer. I'm way behind you for an xDrive, my hope is a bunch of people drop out.

I went with BG and Fjord Blue carbon buckets. Been at the port since late Jan. No updates from CA.

I’m hoping some people drop out. My CA said I was about 10th in line at Alexandria last week.

And you put a deposit 2/27? I was 12th on 2/3 so maybe we all did move ahead. I never got another update from my CA.

I ordered a G83 back in October and was stuck in QC hell for 2 months and had stop sales for the RAM. Car finally arrived at the dealer yesterday and picking it up today.
