For Asian market in general, since most performance car buyers are living in cities, driving a manual could be inconvenient unless you are a die hard driving enthusiast.
Depending on different countries, selling a manual model may increase some certification fees, and car brands will ditch their manual models when the demand is too low.
So, please, when you say saving the manual, don't just say it, buy it and drive it!
Most Americans can no longer drive MT either, and sometimes that's a good thing.

Two suspects attempted to carjack a 77-year old woman on Friday but ran off after they were not able to operate the vehicle's manual transmission.

According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the attempted carjacking happened in the 3400 block of Hawthorne Blvd around 1:39 pm Friday afternoon. Two male suspects approached a 77-year-old woman as she was getting out of her vehicle and pointed guns at her, demanding her keys.

The victim complied with the suspects, who then got into her 2004 BMW. However, they were unable to operate the vehicle's manual transmission and ran away, police said.

The victim was not injured in the incident, and the vehicle keys were later found nearby.
Funny and sad at the same time..

I think you can assume no ventilation on the bucket seats. The m performance suspension is a 10 mm (recommended) drop (5-20 mm is the range), but I think it's a very safe assumption it will not be adjustable from inside the car a la Porsche. That's a great feature that requires controls within the car and is not something that can be port installed.
Dang, I thought you pressed sport + suspension and it dropped 20mm...so just like the old m suspension on my F82...take the wheels off and get out the tool...there goes the front splitter then...the m performance front splitter is low and the back defuser also... I can hear lots of crunching carbon fibre sounds from curbs already...so the car will stick out of all the parking spaces you park in...either if you reverse in or forward in...and Dubai is way too hot not to have ventilated seats...but I love those buckets so much...

Do not know if it is the environment, the sun or the way it is filmed but the car looks great in this video, including the front.
Never though I would say this ... when I sent the the first pictures of the car to my son I told him look at that horrible thing compared to our great E36 and E46 M3. Now it is definitely growing on me.

Sounds like I need a manual to prevent carjacking

Correct, on the pricing guide it says ventilation seats are excluded on CF buckets

This video makes SPY look great. I'm considering it as I really don't like any of the blues to replace my YMB, but I'm not sure I could pull it off for 3 years. I feel like it might be just a little too overt as a DD. I'd definitely have to drive conservatively around town as there are sure to be no others around me. I think I've only seen 2 other YMB in the last 4 years and I think both of those were at cars and coffee. I'm sad to say I might just end up with white at this rate

That car looks great. That interior is absolutely WOW! Those bucket seats are worth the price of entry. Give me Brooklyn Gray with Silverstone interior carbon buckets. Thanks!

I think so too. Combine it with the wheels that look similar to the 666's, only concave, and body colored lower rockers/front splitters.......and that will look really premium.

I also think I'll give it 6-8 months from launch before I order. That would give the aftermarket time to get lowering springs on the market along with a front lip.

I think it is great that they have they CF seats for what sounds like a very reasonable price. P-car's are over 5K for the Spyder/GT4.

Sadly my GTS does not have them (US version), you can get them still but last I saw was 11k for the pair.

And the stock M4 GTS seat while beautiful and comfortable does not allow for race harness. Silly since the demi-roll cage that comes in the car already has holes for the eye bolts.

I am on board with this yellow color, very striking and I think with lasting appeal, much like the F8x blue and the frozen colors.

Every time I see the new grille I like it better, but I really do miss the central hood bulge, which for me really defined the M3/4.

Or even having a red / block two tone interior. Surprised they don't have that option...yet.

From what I recall, more options come after the first MY, if using other BMW models as a basis for comparison.

SORRY, but you are wrong on both counts.

I care, I agree, and I won't be buying any car that has such a hideous design.

It is so very sad that BMW design has lost its way.

We can only hope that IND or others design and sell a cosmetic fix!

Curious about this as well, from what I’ve sen so far I’m leaning towards frozen grey M4 with the silver wheels and red/black CF interior. Doubtful if I’ll be able to get it in the US though without going for the crazy full individual cost which I’ll never ever will.

Reality is setting in... BMW no longer makes attractive cars. This thing is FUGLY, period.

Great SUVs and a sporty stance but the sedan and coupes are dead.

If it wasn't for the X5...BMW would be headed the way of Nissan.
