I'd take a used 991 Carrera 4s or gts over the new m3. I don't care as much about speed, as I do handling and road feel.
Why is everyone so obsessed over straight line speed? Buy an american car for 1/2 the price if that's your main concern. Does racing people at red lights stroke everyones ego's?

I never mentioned anything about racing people at lights or straight line speed. Your entitled to your opinion. While the 718 looks better, handles better but it's slower not as practical way less tech and features, worst sounding exhaust (imo). So yes I rather have a M340 over 718. Looking the package holistically you get more for money with m340 vs a 718. Granted pushing the car with 400hp to its limits on public roads is impossible, the fun part of driving fast cars (imo) is doing pulls and feeling the g-force and letting off the gas and hearing the exhaust burble pop and bang. If I was really about solely about speed and taking off at lights on people I would of gotten a Tesla.
