*Feverishly tries to get back into the dream that had me cross shopping a B3 Touring vs an M3 Touring*
I wish people would stop latching onto whatever the current buzzword is like it's a big deal. Besides, none of these rabidly followed, carefully manufactured culture wars matter if we just ignore burning the planet down. |

Were there travesties back then? You bet your arse there were. Were there unjust, unfair social norms? Absolutely. However, as opposed to today, nobody was forced to be one way or another to a large degree. As a people, as a race, as a society, we should respect one another as a matter of course not as a matter of force. Pushing 99% of decent folks, who exercise that way of life ordinarily, to be anything other than themselves is the greatest tragedy and travesty in itself. I hear you and agree with you my friend and wish you nothing but joy (especially behind the wheels of many many Ms). If you haven't heard of him, I thoroughly recommend you check out Jim Jeffries (High & Dry) on Netflix (he's an Australian comedian who lives in LA) He'll have you in stitches https://www.netflix.com/au/title/814...&clip=81671754 Enjoy my friend

It was you who was not seeing it as a "big picture" since you say that's the "only difference". If, like you suggest, it's everyhing to achieve the speed, than it's a completely different car, witch doenst make it a small difference, and witch makes your statement irrelevant.

Re the Touring preference in the UK and Europe: it's horses for courses. In the US, you have massive parking spaces, each space individually big, wide roads but often poor road surfaces. SUVs make perfect sense in these circumstances. In Europe, we have narrow roads, small parking spaces, and less parking capacity, but often better road surfaces. So an estate makes sense.
SUVs in Europe are widely criticised because they're just too big for the road environment here. Conversely, a lot of US drivers can't see the point of a sedan with an extended rear. Both of which views are fair enough. I've had a Jeep grand Cherokee and my conclusion when I handed it back was that for all that extra size and bulk, I got relatively little extra internal space, compared to the Tourings/Avants I'd had previously. With my estates, I got a car with a good internal-to-external size ratio and a load of extra usable space in the back. One which could double as both a fun drive when on my own, and an effective family load-carrier as well.

Also- just for your next post… you’re spelling “which” like a “witch” from Hocus Pocus. I don’t want to rip you apart on this. I just wanted to point it out to you so the next time when you are posting to people no one will point it out. Possibly use it against you. M3 is a great car no doubt- glad you have passion for the brand too. |

I can’t tell if it’s just the angle of the photo but I totally expected the G81 to make the 992 look tiny. Obviously the M3 is heavier and all that, but is anyone else noticing that the dimensions look pretty close?

"having or marked by an active awareness of systemic injustices and prejudices, especially those involving the treatment of ethnic, racial, or sexual minorities" From this definition I would say I am 100% 'woke'. Your comment makes me wanna jump on a plane, and slap (not shoot) you into next sunday. Seems to contradict with your views? "...nothing is as unfunny as fear and timidity. Wokesters are riddled with it. Everything they touch turns to shit." |

This design has been out for a few years now and I'm still seeing and reading car reviews that trash the design of the G8X platform. People buy this car for the performance, but only a select minority actually like the design. I would never buy a car that I wouldn't want to look back at as I was walking away after a drive. GM could put an LT6 in an Aztec, make it drive like a GT3, and I'd still never buy one because of the horrible design.
