Glad they don’t sell these in the states lol. I don’t wanna look at em. Station wagons are dead and should stay that way ha ha.

I’m definitely of the camp that saw the grill and thought something horrible went wrong, but now I really love how it sets itself apart from the normal 3-series. To each their own! I think BMW is doing a pretty good job of providing some type of vehicle for everyone in their lineup
I had no interest in a touring until I got a big dog. Now it’s all I want

Yeah, not sure if a wagon is what I would ever consider. It conjures up images of the Volvo and Subaru moms dropping kids off at school (nothing wrong with it)

To me, it doesn’t mesh with what a M3 should be, but what the hell do I know. BMW is putting M badges on every kind of car now

My thoughts exactly. Even worse are the performace wagon people who only buy them for the look of utility, while they’re really never going to actually haul anything with them. The best ones though, are the people who then put a roof carrier box on their performance wagon. Like how much crap are you pretending to haul around?

I daily an e92 M3 and my wife drives a S6. We were lucky enough to get a RS6 loaner for 5 weeks (Audi/VW emmissions testing programs). My 14 year old son is an adult sized hockey goalie. Shoving his gear in my car is chore and her S6 is only marginally better. The wagon is so easy, we went on a road trip for hockey and we’re able to stop at Costco on the way home and load up even with his gear and a suitcase. I know you can get the same practicality with an SUV/Truck but they sure as hell won’t drive the same. Unfortunately we can’t afford to buy one and in the US there just aren’t many options.

It’s not just speed. It’s handling, chassis rigidity, cooling, interior quality, all BMW M tuned, plus the S58, and extra configurabilty of the chassis, steering, brakes etc. There’s literally dozens of reasons to choose an M car over an M Performance car. Always was, always has been. This is from a former E21, F30 and F80 guy.

I get the practicality argument and would definitely take the wagon over an SUV in your case.

There’s many cars that now do this- and look better too. Dozens of reasons maybe to choose outside the brand. I always aspired to one. As soon as I heard AWD I was dialed in. Until I saw it and drove it. Granted I drove one with the high performance seats that were greatly uncomfortable too.

The F80 was a brutal, almost dangerous car. But it was completely beautiful too- this one is a disappointment and I just can’t get excited about it the same way I used to like the old F car.

Luckily they seem to stay sold out, the brand is fine. It’s me who hasn’t followed. It’s okay though.

It’s a stretch- grill isn’t aging well and sales fortunately are buried in years of COVID chip shortage that made almost all cars sell.

I’ll take any G8X over any other BMW because of the looks, particularly the front end. And at the same time because G8X is the best driving car in BMW’s entire line-up currently

Wagons are the most overhyped cars there are. If you need space and want speed why get that over an X3M? Those handle damn good too . How crazy are people driving their wagons? Probably not any crazier than a Performance SUV so it doesn’t matter that it’s lower to the ground.

He is actually a bit more than a journalist, he is a former professional racing driver and was 'somebody' even before the social media era.
But most of all he is a person who is not ashamed to tell the pure truth about cars, unlike many others YouTubers who are always too politically correct, he is a person who if something is bad, he clearly says it is bad, while others would just say 'not right'.
He got a ban from Ferrari after some bad words about them, so he doesn't speak to get views, likes or visibility, he doesn't care and doesn't need to review cars to survive, that's why he is a trustworthy person.
And if he speaks so highly of a car that he clearly doesn't like, that means the car is really good.
One can agree or disagree with him, of course, but one can be assured that he is genuine and not biased.

A wagon handles almost as well as a sedan because the increase in weight and center of gravity is almost negligible, which cannot be said of an suv. In fact, I do not see (indeed, there is not) any advantage of an suv over a wagon in terms of dynamics, and for me neither in look.
