So sad that BMW has just made their cars worse looking each new generation. the only BMW that looks worthy of buying is an M2 Competition, all the rest of the line up look terrible and not a single bit aggressive. As of right now the M2 is the only and last BMW ill consider buying since their cars just keep looking worse. Mercedes on the other hand makes you feel like you're in a spaceship while looking mean and elegant. To each their own.

I absolutely hated the earlier renderings but this is looking a lot better. I actually like the M4 rear end but the M3 is a bit Lexus like for me. Looking forward to seeing the final version. I'd be looking to trade my M2 for a manual M3 "pure" or whatever they are calling it. I would consider the M4 though if the rear of the M3 doesn't grab me styling wise.

I don't think it's as ugly as everyone else does. I just don't get any M3 feelings from it. This is more of what I would have though the M5 would look like in the future if it was 1999. I suppose the M2 is really the embodiment of the M3 and the new M3's are something else entirely?very confusing. But to be honest, i'd rather have an M2 Competition with some mod money left over.

Exactly!, 2.3L 160Hp. Loved that motor. It's interesting that the US in particular has completely tied value in interiors to leather.. it's sloooowly changing (Tesla, Taycan) towards synthetics, but it would be a joy to have a cloth interior M4. I was amazed that for example Audi does not have a cloth or synthetic interior in any car sold new in the US at this point, so interesting. It's market demand...

June is for THE 4Coupe. Which will be launched at a closed event similar to the i4 Concept. Pending on the current situation of course.

We can expect to see both M3 and M4 around the 4th qtr of 2020.

That buck teeth beaver, will be tearing some ass up. I'm getting M3 Comp Pkg when it comes out.

I was gonna comment that the rear diffusor fitment seems a little off, but then I remembered what the front looks like and it's like - who cares about the rear diffusor.

For me it was Frankie Bones and DJ Tony Draper from the late 90's NYC club scene.

Scott thank you for all you do for these forums. Often times you bring news that is unwanted (change always is) and receive nothing but combative responses.

Thanks Scott, much appreciated. I want to buy a 4er coupe but the lack of 6MT ( my immortal fondness ) may drive me to M4 if somehow I can get a non leather interior from Individual...

I'm wondering if the marketing strategy for dropping the 6MT from coupes was intended to drive that driver to M4?...

let's skip over the potato quality but those renders and the leaked images are pretty nice and I cant wait to see them on the road. Cue the "I'm never buying a Beamer again" comments

You would only get the car if you can get it in cloth?

I'll prefer, cloth, alcantra, or sensatec, only in that order. Just a personal preference.

The 6MT/B58 and 6MT/B48 drivetrains are being dropped due to take rates becoming too low to sustain a business case. It has nothing to do with coupes since all form factors - sedan, touring, coupe, convertible - are affected.

The 6MT/S58 remains viable due to adequate customer interest across the M2, M3, and M4.

Thanks for that MK. Saddens me I must admit, I understand the business point and the need to devote engineering efforts to electrification along with low take rates. It's been very nice to be able to take a 6MT of a 4 series in the highest trim sub S-engine as a wonderful daily driver. Was the complete package to those like me whom I guess are a infinitesimal portion of the market. Tempted to get a last generation F32... but with the G32 so close....
