My BMW app & Remote Software Update

My G80 installed the 11/2023.73 update last week, but since then, the My BMW app thinks the update hasn't installed. Super annoying. Anyone else have this bug and know how to clear the update?

Yep, I have the same issue.

I'm assuming a reinstall of the app will solve it but I don't want to try that just yet.

Give it a few days, the app will eventually recognize the latest software on the car.

Same here but after a 30 minute drive it saw that my system was updated. I had to drive it before it showed it was complete

+1 I’m glad it’s not just me.

I’m also having trouble with remote start for some reason. Not sure what’s going on, but it doesn’t work anymore. I don’t know if it’s related though.

You have to re-enable remote start in iDrive after a software update.

I did get an update this morning saying it was done and the notification is gone now.

+1.... haven't had any app update yet, so message still there.

Also, Waze is worse than before for me. Pretty annoying.
* sometimes makes me open the app on my phone to be able to use it in I-drive
* sometimes, the speed limit doesn't show up anymore in Waze
* used turn by turn directions over the weekend, and every time Waze would talk, it would stop my music, even sirius.

Strange for this upgrade ID8 required my M3 to be parked and engine turned off, data transfer from iPhone to ID8 and prepare steps were done while driving.

I had to drive it for the update to begin to install. Once my drive was over it asked me if I wanted to complete the update. The car was parked. It then took about 30 minutes to complete in my garage with the engine off. Once it was updated I took it out for a short drive. I thought the message in the App said “update complete” but I was wrong as after a few hours I checked and my app was still telling me to go to the car to complete the update even thought it was. Earlier this week the app said I was updated. Same thing happened to a lot of us. Suspect the app was having an issue. Now the car shows 11.2023 and so does the app on my phone

I updated the car today, but my app doesnt refresh since i started the update. I started the update at 7pm today and my app as of 11.43pm still shows settings from 7pm. App thinks the update is not complete, app thinks my doors are still unlocked which is not true as well. I restarted my phone. It did not solve the issue. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it. Still no change. Only thing i did not do is to drive the car after software update. I started it but not driven it. May be that helps, or time cures it. Very frustrating...

I just did this update and the next day I had a battery management error. I keep it on a trickle charger so the battery is always charged. I'm guessing when it did the update it didn't fully shut down

I did this yesterday. Downloaded the update on the app and then my car asked to start the update. Took about 30mins.

Oddly, my CarPlay stopped working for a few hours. Got in the car today and it’s back and working.

I do think my anti dazzle coding was reverted back to US specs. Annoying.

Any benefits from this update?

Updates stall

Have the 3/2023 software in my 1/2024. When I bought the car the app tried to install the 7/2023 update but it always reached 42% and nothing more. After two weeks it stopped trying. Now it is doing the same (42%) with the 11/2023 update.

I figure it will get sorted out when I get the 1,200 mile service. But something is wrong in BMW update land.
