Bought my first BMW in 2002 had several 3 and 5 series, bought my first M car in 2020 a X3M. That car was not for me so I ordered a M3comp and traded in the suv, the M3comp is the best BMW I’ve ever owned. Love this car.

Looking forward to my first BMW! I wanted an M2 two years ago but was impossible right after covid so I went AMG, it was nice until I got rear ended at a red light total loss. This time around wanted M2 but the ADM made me look into the M4 xdrive...will be here soon and still trying to convince myself it's worth the extra $$ lol with 5.9% ! I have really enjoyed the community here reminds me of my days on s2ki haha

My car is 20 months old, now, and as much as I love it and what I’ve done to it, I’m exploring other avenues.

I’ve had BMWs in the family, growing up. My parents owned them, but after more than 3 decades of driving, I finally bought my own. I’d looked at and been interested in previous generations of M, but, I’d always purchased something else.

When the F8X debuted, I was all about it. Drove one, and bought a C7 manual, and a Type R. Got rid of both of those, and ordered my G82. It’s been a great ride, but, I have my eyes on the horizon. I drove a non Plaid Model S, last weekend, and even the non Plaid, accelerated so quickly, I was queasy for an hour. 7.7 60-130, but, I would still pony up for the big boy. 4.3 60-130. It would be nuts.

Of course I’m waiting for the CCBs to be available this summer. The tank is too much for the standard Brembos.

I just took delivery of my M3 last week, coming from a Tesla plaid. I can tell you that nothing will touch Plaid in terms of pure acceleration or mind bending G force, but outside of that it is a completely different vehicle. For blasting stop light to stop light you cannot go wrong, but for overall driver engagement and enjoyment, the BMW is 90% better. At 100 mph the Tesla felt unsettled on the highway, the M3 feels like the party is just getting started. I am an acceleration junkie, and for most of my car driving life G force has been qanat pushed me to go from one car to the next, but the plaid will ruin you. You get so accustomed to it that it’s not as much of a party trick after a few weeks of ownership, and then you’re looking for something else to scratch an itch. Outside of the wild acceleration, there really is no soul conspired to this chassis.

It's my 3th M car. I had an F82 M4 and an OG M2. Bought a Porsche cayman T after that, but now I have a family and a little baby and the M3 comp is the perfect car for this.

Came, LMAO! I could give 2 or 3 shits if the tooth ferry designed it. And I’m willing to bet that a lot of those deaths were people like the Army guy that treated the car like it truly self drove when it smacked into a tractor trailer, turning, and tore the roof of the car off. You can’t trust it to that level.

One thing I’ll not be doing is letting the car drive itself, extensively. I love the traffic jam assistant in the G80, but I still have my hands within an inch of the wheel, and my foot ready to pounce the brake pedal. I trust nothing. We hear about it all, living close to the Bay Area.

There was Guy dead asleep while the car drove itself through the toll booth. Now the car has cameras that follow your eyes, and you get warned that if you don’t interact when the car asks, if disables autopilot for the remainder of the drive.

My main factors are speed, power and it’s electric. The $744 I spent on gas, last month, woke me up a little as to the fact that I spend a whole additional car payment just on fuel. And the charging network can’t be beat.

Whatever helps you sleep at night. FWIW, I spend like $45/month on gas.
