I’m on stg2 customrom, running Map3 OTS. You’ve got me thinking though, does sport just open them a little? I’ll have to test a little.

i've tried testing this a little as well and my conclusion is that i just cannot definitively tell what is going on with the valves. you can't see them, i can't find any logging param to monitor them, and there's too many variables between BM3 potentially not working, sport/Sport+ mode changing things, ASD, and Engine sound button on/off to figure out WTF is actually happening. One thing i am sure about is that the valve control function in the diagnostic screen of the BM3 app definitely does not work, it does nothing.

In sport or sport plus it barely opens, meaning its stock function. I’m hoping it still opens more with acceleration and they’ve not messed that up too… They’ve got bugs and not bothering to fix it seems. I was told revision would be out for Multimap, that was over a month ago. 🤷🏽‍♂️ |

Did you get any updates from them on the flap control? I agree it isn’t working and it doesn’t seem to be related to the specific map, it just generally doesn’t work. The options in the diagnostic screen of the app don’t work either.

Has any one run into an issue with getting a CEL even though my dme is unlocked and running BM3. I threw a code today for the rear o2 spacers even though it says off in my tune. My tuner said it’s because I still have the o2 spacers on from when I was running the downpipes with no tune. I was told if I take them off I won’t have that issue anymore. That happen to anyone else?

Yeah I’m going to take them off I was just curious if any one else ran into that before. It didn’t make much sense to me why it would matter if the spacers were there or not if they are turned off anyway

Might be different codes than are being suppressed by the option, usually spacers are causing delayed reponse code. What codes specifically do you get and you could try adding them to the deactivated dtc code list.

I got 12bc01 it was a delayed reaction code. I’m going to remove the spacers and hopefully it’s not an issue anymore

I haven’t done anything yet, car is running perfectly normal. I’m going to take the o2 spacers off because that was suggested and I don’t need them anymore. But since my original post I cleared the CEL and it hasn’t come back on. I just have to find the time to get the spacers off

Like chris3g said add 12bb01 and 12bc01 to the deactivated codes at the bottom of your map settings. These are codes for sensor slow reaction caused by spacers or a minicat.
The "Catalytic Monitors (CEL)" option must just disable the cat efficiency codes. With a catted downpipe, short spacers (BDG ones were too deep for me) or stock setup is most likely to avoid a CEL, but seems no one size fits all solution. Deactivate the codes above and you can ignore the issue lol. |
