Moving On? HELL NO!! Added: 2022 Porsche 992 GTS!!
I know some have posted that they have moved on but I just cant, I wont!!! But I went from one GTS to another. The latest is the 2022 992 GTS.
It was a dealer ordered car and my long time contact hooked me up with it and I jumped on the opportunity to get it. Yes I paid an ADM since it was not ordered personally but where the market is pushing 30 to 35k over on GTS cars, I got mine for much less. I posted the build below. So I will start out and say that its not fair to compare to my G80X because of so many reasons but the main reason is the price; this GTS was literally double the msrp of my G80X. But for the sake discussion from an owner of both- I have made some early opinions. With that being said, it's such a great feeling to have this car (my 9th Porsche- all 911's) AND have the G80X. I have been lauding the G80X for quite some time on how it has narrowed the gap with my prior 911 ownership driving experiences. Those thoughts stand. But the 992 is so just like what Porsche does with each iteration; they up the game. And then to score a GTS for a reasonable deal, I had to take it. I will remain an M fanboy (still have 2 in house) and a P car lover. Its just fantastic how the Germans just spit out brilliance. Some quick thoughts and pics (mini comparos too): Speed/Driving: The GTS is everything advertised. It's so good out of the dig that I totally forgot its RWD when I was launching it!!. Porsche underrates their tq/hp and this car is no different. It feels so fast out of the box and while my G80X is not stock anymore (Race Chip) it still feels maybe slightly quicker/faster than the modded G80X. Porsche clearly can do more with less, but weight is a factor along with power delivery to the ground where they really excel. The throttle on both cars is very responsive but the P car is probably a little more on point. The Porsche PDK is second to none and their TCU/ECU programming matches up so well that the car can be driven in D mode, and it keeps one in the right gear thru accelerations and decels. The M is strong too, but Porsche is probably slightly more advanced. Steering/Handling/Chassis: Typical Porsche feel and connection- some of the best steering out there for sure. While the G80X has made leaps and bounds here vs prior iterations, its still just a bit short of how great the "point and shoot" of the P car is. Obviously, handling is apples and oranges with the weight and sedan vs coupe situation, but we all know how great the G80X is. The Porsche isn't in reality, that much better, and track times have proven. Kudos here to BMW M. For for my personal daily driving which includes higher speed bends and quick turns around twisty roads, the PDCC and RAS of the Porsche makes it the more confident car along being flat as a pancake. They just are two different cars with two different purposes. Exhaust: The P car has a pretty good exhaust with PSE but it's still a flat 3.0 with turbos. Its better than the G80X out of the box and simple cat bypass pipes will make it loud and more like a LeMans car even though my modded G80X with TFL Italy's catback sounds great! Interior: The GTS interior is classy with the Porsche Race Tex bits plus dry carbon (expensive as fuck). The 18 ways seats are the best in the business with all those adjustments; I have the sport seats in my G80X. The PCM is fine but I still like the I Drive more. Its easier to navigate around and just more intuitive. Both cars have tremendous cabins and its more of a subjective call here. Looks: I mean I personally am honored to have two great looking cars that I am talking about here. The Aventurine Red is so deep and rich; its an incredible color for my G80X. The Shark Blue just pops- its optically so bright and unique. I have zero regrets with either color. The GTS is the widebody 911 and more reserved than some of its winged brothers but thats the appeal of the car. Its classy yet aggressive Porsche. Both cars are brilliant lookers. Current Mods: 35% Ceramic Tint Coming Soon: Paint Correction and Ceramic Coating Soul Catted (200 cell) downpipes M Engineering Tune (circa 100 whp on a 91 tune) Lowering (nothing available yet) Pics:

I am guilty sir --- I drove it off the lot with 11 miles and made sure the oil was up to temp and proceeded to violate the flat 6.

Congrats, what a beautiful car. A GTS would definitely be the next in my progression after a G8X.
