Hitting a bunch of different categories here in a seemingly very random list but here goes:
- Any generation Supra, STI, or Evo (never could get into this whole category tbh) - VW GTI/GLI (never understood the hype with these) - Challengers and Chargers (I like my boats in the water) - W204 C63 (It's a German Camaro) - E60 M5 (really any M5 E60 or later, but I don't know that F10s and F90s are "beloved") - Wranglers (I'm more of a 4runner person *cries in 5spd & 270hp*) Edit: I mulled on this one but I'll add a controversial one for this board: - M2C (Fun to drive from the short wheelbase, but cannot get excited about it. Maybe it's the F80/2 ownership bias, but M2C is less powerful and does not weigh significantly less which seems to be a massive misconception amongst many. Overall is just doesn't differentiate itself enough from a F80/2 for me. Funnily enough, I LOVE the OG M2 and everything it stands for - I'll get excited for that "parts bin special" any day of the week.)

- Very unpopular opinion, S2000. I have massive respect for them, and I wouldn't quite say they do nothing for me, but there's other cars I'd buy before it in that price range.
- American Muscle car, apart from the Viper. On paper, a C7Z Corvette is great (manual, tons of power, Targa top), but emotionally, I just can't gel with any of them. Fast doesn't necessarily fun, especially if they're huge, not well built, too common ect ect... - Recent super cars, especially Mclarens. Seems like there's a new one every 3 months, then add numerous "special" editions. At the risk of sounding old, I remember when the F40 was out, and you waited years and years for the F50 to come out, then the Enzo. I've gotten numb to all these releases, and rarely watch reviews of them on Youtube. They're just irrelevant.

-Honda S2000 - It's not as fun or flexible as a Miata, its very cramped even for my 5'8 asian scrawny ass, and after driving several, modified and stock, other than the fact that the engine is impressive, it is way too serious and not in a Lotus Elise kinda way, fast, but not fun fast and for a fun car that's what kills any love for it for me, yes I am deeply aware I am in the minority flamesuitoff -Any hypercar - way too unattainable, way too much going on, way too showy, being an extrovert literally is my nightmare. -Toyota AE86 - I mean, if that Japanese anime never existed, majority of these would have rot in Japan -Challenger/Charger: Straight line and burnouts does nothing for me. -Any Tesla: the cars themselves are impressive, but lack of excitement of the engine noise, and most of all the exclusive club of Teslarites is what deeply, DEEPLY, makes me NEVER want to ever own one.

This is fun. Great cars that do nothing for me:
C8 Vette New NSX (I think it was pretty well received critically?) Lotus Evora Any Bugatti after EB 110 Any Ferrari after F430, especially 458 Any Porsche 911, except GT3 Flame suit on.

New NSX,....god awful. Lotus-I dunno, I can respect it Ferrari's are art, i can respect them for that...but not much else lol 911: I dunno, there's a value in the pursuit of perfect in the 911 history. I love the 991 GT3 and RS's. I love the balls to the wall GT2RS, the older 6spd GT3's, the classic turbo cars, and the luxury SPEED of the newer Turbo. But,.....99% of the world cant differentiate a 350k Gt2RS from retired from her CPA job owning a base 911. And that is the problem |

My list:
Any electric car - who wants to hear their car "buzz?" Nissan GTR - soured by the looks, but then Nissan lied about the track times (the car was never as quick as they promised around a track) Bugatti - Just a fast luxury car

Sadly for me it’s the GTI (excluding the classic MK1). As an enthusiast I should like them, but I have test driven them many times and never been wowed or wanted one.
Another car I think will soon be joining this is the new Corvette. I’m just not impressed by it. I understand the numbers are impressive but the car just looks like a knock off Ferrari. |

I'm talking about the fad where people are putting 18wheeler set ups on these and either jacking them up, or lowering them on air suspension. Looks ridiculous

C8 Vette - It doesnt look like a Vette anymore. I do love a properly set up C6, and he C7 is pure sexy.
Supra - Yeah they can make great power and a 2JZ sounds amazing, but they just don't excite me. GTR - too common now And unpopular opinion, but an LS swap is boring. |

Anything domestic: mustangs, vettes, Dodge/SRT, camaros, etc. I'll make an exception for Vipers and Ford GTs.
SUVs and Trucks: especially performance ones like X3M, X5M, Raptor. I'll make an except for ones that actually off road or rock climbing capable like the defender or wrangler.

Popular/revered performance cars that I wouldn't trade a booger for:
* Dodge Viper (ugly AF, shitty engine sound) * Any Corvette after 1970 * Acura NSX. Both generations. * Any Audi RS (styling puts me to sleep)

Lotus all years...I have no Idea why...odd I have such an Indifference without a root. Reading car mags I would read up on everything even newest minivan. When something with lotus came up, I would flip the page wo a second thought...Only time it ever grabbed my attention was when I heard the lotus elise has an integra type R motor

I see a lot of comments about exotics because they are $$$. Sure I can't afford the new aston martin vantage... I still think it's sexy as fuck! Meanwhile the pagani, bugatti etc I just find incredible hideous and couldn't see myself owning one even if I could afford it.
I guess my point is just because something may seem unattainable doesn't necessary mean it "does nothing for me". Now to be fair they may drive likes shit, I don't know because I've never driven them, but I'm big on the visuals and just the design of the car can make or break it for me. For me most Japanese cars... I just don't like the design on most of them. Same for most modern American cars except for maybe the last 5 years where I think many have stepped up their game. I love the C7 vette, the earlier years do nothing for me, neither does the C8 (although the interior is sexy). Land rovers... nothing. I don't find them very attractive. Most Porsche prior to their most recent models with much improved interiors. I could never get over the Porsche interiors and those weird ass colors they make like the whole fucking thing is blue. All that being said cars are becoming more and more meh for me. Maybe I'm getting old. Last edited by dreamingat30fps; 12-09-2020 at 05:20 PM.. |

Camaro/Mustangs/Corvettes... I know they are good performance for the buck but I could never see myself buying one and don’t even look twice when I see them. Actually come to think the only domestic I really care for is the Viper.
And the STI. Never liked them and their glass motors. |

Amusingly, turbocharged BMW's. The only one that does anything for me is the 1M. Once they lost ITB's, they lost me.

Wouldn't that be pretty much all BMWs in the current lineup? Although I agree, once they started adding the turbos to the inline 6 that's kind of when my interest in BMW died. Now they really do nothing for me with the 56 different models they seem to have. I honestly don't even follow the new models but I have seen some god awful BMWs on the road. Like bangle butt level ugly.

There are a ton of cars and automakers that don't do anything for me. Easier to list the ones that do.
For about 20 years, BMWs have done it for me...not all of them, but a lot of them. SRTs are awesome in many ways. Vipers (especially Gen 5) are the pinnacle of what a raw, pure driving experience should be coupled with art. Lamborghinis are exquisite art but have turned into a video game driving experience. Never got into any Japanese cars. Definitely no Subarus! Maybe this is too soon, but literally no new generation BMWs do anything for me, especially the new 4 (vomit). I literally like some of the Japanese cars more than the 4, something I never thought I would say. |
