Anyone ever spend anytime over on the Tesla Motors Club forum?
Holy shit, is there a more aggressively shitty pants group of people on planet Earth?

These guys do nothing but circle jerk each other all day on how they are the smartest people in the galaxy because their car, is in fact, better than the BMW M3.

This is the first time I went over there and I expected to kinda read people talking about their cars and what they like about them, the cool colors, etc…

Holy Shit Batman, it’s just one huge bitch fest.
And, they are so hung up on proving to everyone how awesome they are.

What a waste of time that was.
Learned nothing useful and did not see anyone in love with their cars.
I’m beginning to think the only real reason that anyone anywhere ever bought a Tesla is so they could beat the pants off every car that they were at a stoplight with.

I don’t think they really love their cars that much.
Seems more like they just hate everyone else’s.

There is a two lane road on my daily commute with lots of high speed turns. I almost always get tailgated by some dork in a Tesla while I’m cruising at 90. Lately, I’ve been letting them by, then immediately get behind them and stick to their bumper. Try as they might, in turns they cannot lose me and eventually give up or move over. It’s comedy.

I used to own a M3P and it’s not all that. Once you get over the acceleration you realize you paid $55k for a car with the fit and finish of an economy car. Not sure if it’s still the case but when I had mine you only had full acceleration on a fully charged battery.

I drove a long range S, last weekend. Not knowing anything about the long range, I wasn't expecting much. I didn't realize they were 670hp, until after I got home, and looked at the information on one. The acceleration is mind blowing.

I actually had a headache from darting around in it. You're not ready for the acceleration from a red light. It feels like launch control in my G82 xDrive, but, at half throttle, and just pressing the accelerator, slightly.

You have to feather the pedal, otherwise everytime you leave the light, it feels like launch control. 60-130 in 7.7 vs the G80s 9.8. Its night and day. 10.6 @ 129 for $88k, its something else. But, I would still need a Plaid. If the CCBs weren't $20k for it, I would probably already have one.

I drove the Long Range, because that’s all they had to test drive. I’d get the Plaid. 9.2 @150 with a warranty. $108k. My G82 was more.

Yea came directly from there. Had a M3P. Omg that group is really something else. Huge modifications were hubcaps and people were anti performance models, they live and breath long range… They had some of belief that it’s a born track car. Also the tons of threads complaining on how their tires were worn out after 40k or some higher mileage is astonishing. The fact that they believe that any kind of maintenance on teslas be it tires or windshield fluid and etc. apparently it was an extreme hassle and complained about it. Yea that community is nothing but a cult.


The photo below is my reminder on how disgusted I was when I took a 192 mile round trip mountain drive. Had 310 miles of range however barely made it home with only 5% remaining. Yea that was my cue to leave.

Most of the Tesla owners are inexperienced with performance cars and make everyone look bad. They are great for daily driving but deff can’t have the only car in the stable I would go crazy…
