Yeah but unlike GM, BMW has been making track-capable sedans for decades. Even Corvettes, which are much lighter than the BW, have always been prone to overheating or grenading engines when tracked.

There are plenty of GM cars that have been reliably tracked with mods. Most bmws need some mods/preventative maintenance to reliably track them too. Almost all cars do. Idk anyone that I've tracked with still on their original rod bearings in their e46 or e92. DCT e92s run the DO88 cooler because they overheat too. Corvettes & Camaros are one of the most common track cars out there. Auto vettes were the ones that overheated and the early c7 z06s that didn't have the secondary radiators. |
