Anyone have experience selling or trading in your Femto Unlocked car or a car that may have been flagged for mods in general? If you trade to BMW do they look to see if it was unlocked and ding you on trade in value?

You can reflash to stock and relock the DME before trading in. For private sale, I’d think it’s a positive for it to be unlocked already if the new buyer is a tuner.

check with your buyer and see if he is open to tuning the car; having the DME already unlocked will be a plus

And if he does not cat, flash back to stock and relock the DME.

Thinking about pulling the trigger on my '24 G82 but wanted to see what people are paying for the unlock + shipping fees/insurance? I've heard $1,100 - $1,500.

To confirm, this is the only item that's required to purchase? Thanks for the help!

i paid $950 for the unlock, If im not mistaken + $150 shipping (paid directly on Femto)

then i paid DHL another $150 to ship it to Femto

So, Im thinking on pulling the trigger soon. To be sure, these 2 are the one needed right? and bm3 is needed before sending to unlock?
This Bm3 option is the only one I could find, meaning with this I can use OTS maps and cutomsrom too?
Price isnt bad, but not sure why those 3rd party are charging 2k+ when unlock cost sub 1k
