Just came back from my dealer and saw a M4C being prepped for sale. I was the first one there, before the dealer could put a premium on it I was offered the car for $87,015 (window sticker) plus taxes and fees. BSM, black interior. Should I be the first on the block to buy or wait for someone else to absorb the depreciation and look for a slightly used version next year?

Where in the southeast are you? I'm in Atlanta, GA and it looks like a couple % below MSRP is achievable even on early cars. I'm going to shoot for 5-6% below MSRP when I order my AWD. Too many dealers around so I'm willing to shop at least 2 or 3.

If you like black on black I'd say try to negotiate a little.

I'm in Knoxville. I was surprised this car showed up so soon. I doubt the SM is going to negotiate, too many people here are willing to pay sticker plus. What's available in Atlanta?

I wouldn’t touch this one at msrp. A lot of BS on the sticker as license plate holder, floor mats, wheel locks, first aid kit. I’ve never paid for that stuff. Then you have more bs in the parking assistance package and to some extent the exterior CF package. It all adds up.

I wouldn't at sticker. Shoot for 6-9% on M4s. Unless you really want this one. When I was shopping they were reasonable on M4s Vs M3s.

any idea what's a good target for M3s? Seems like they're not quite as generous with pricing on the M3s

With M3s try to go with a Broker, otherwise it will be really tough to get discounts on them if you don't have previous relationships with the dealer or SA.

My dealer rep just called me and said the Tanzanite Blue M4 they received today is already sold but the Portimao Blue M3 is available. I'm going tomorrow to see them in person.

yeah they posted it on the atlanta bmw facebook page, from united bmw i'm going to global imports, they have a white one
