Did you already try to use felt / Tessa tape on the rear seat release cables where they pass through the trunk?

Just wanted to give you guys an update. Brought it to the dealer and took the tech on a ride and he heard the sound. They have had the car for several days now trying to diagnosis the issue. This morning they found the issue. It was a broken baffle in the muffler so they have to replace it. I’ll let you guys know in a few days how it turns out.

Update to this. The rubber gasket I had used eventually wiggled out somehow.

Gave up on that material and tried some wesuit material from a beer can coozie. I cut a couple strips about 3" long by 1/2" wide and stuffed 3 strips between the plastic gasket and the window in a horzional direction. One in the middle and one on each side. Working so far! Hopefully this will stay put.

Has anyone found the plastic panel above the gas/brake pedal to rattle? That's another one I've noticed but only happens on sharp bumps i.e. lane divider reflectors.

I, too, am getting a metallic rattle very intermittently from the rear deck area. It's not constant so it's been tough to pin down. I have the middle seat belt unlocked and stowed on the top of the rear deck into that little plastic triangle (which I think is what it's there for) and I thought maybe that was what was causing it even though it didn't sound like that would be the culprit.

I'll have to keep an ear out.

Check your rear door panels. I just fixed an intermittent rattle / buzzing over rough pavement after finding it was the door card. Placed some felt strategically and solved it.

It initially sounded like the rear deck (from the driver's seat) until my wife pinpointed it to the door and she pushed on the door card, making it go away.

Figure I give you guys an update. Well they replaced the rear muffler due to the broke baffle but that didn’t fix it. After that the techs where kinda scratching their head on what it could be. After another week, the lead technician sat in the backseat while another drove it and determined it was the rear air vent behind in the backseat. They replaced the vent today and I picked it up. By god it fixed the rattle, no more noise. Took two weeks at the dealership but very happy now.

Are you referring to the one by the armrest or is there another one in the back somewhere on the shelf?

Yeah. Didn't work for me either and seems to be worse than the foam I previously took out to replace it with this. I think it needs to be a thicker material
