Seems like they're trickling in albeit at a reduced rate (dealers that normally got two per month are now only getting one). One high volume Socal dealer I spoke to hasn't gotten any Comp allocations in the past few cycles because they had a SPY 6MT on the lot for two months which hamstrung them (need to sell one to get one)

It's not based on Base vs. Comp, it's just based on not getting an allocation because they haven't sold it. If they get an allocation for a G80, it can be G80/G80C/G80C AWD, same with M4. At least that is what I was told.

Must've had a cancellation ahead of me because I moved up for the second time this week! 2nd in line for allocation, getting closer! Hoping next allocation allowance should get me in

Bumping this thread. Has anyone received an allocation recently. I got mine last week but it looks like only a small amount were given.

Does anyone know when the next round goes out?

I received an allocation last week for an M3C with Individual paint.

Seems like the environment we are in nowadays makes it difficult for anyone not in the know to predict when or how many allocations are released. Unless the info is coming from an internal bmw source or someone close to it, everything else is hearsay IMO.

I asked my CA and he basically indicated it would be likely be some time this month, but at this point I'm not holding my breath. Wondering if I'll get one before this year is even over.

One came through yesterday for me from a SoCal dealership (M3 Comp, Week 45 build). CA said it was unexpected; they told me they didn't get any during the last cycle.

Same thing happened at my nearby dealership in NorCal. Allocation came in November 1st, and was told it was unexpected. Seemed to be pretty rare though.

Yeah these seem very much to be the exception not the rule. My allocation was also pretty far along (Status 112, Week 45) which was surprising. Now I just hope it doesn't get pushed back nor get held up with any of the stop sales.

Is yours still status 111? I got a confirmed order just under 2 weeks ago, but still in status 111 - mine is individual paint as well

Yes, still in 111 trying to remain patient, checking mygarage daily, but also attempting to show some restraint by calling Genius only once a week.

For those of us still stuck on waitlists and living in a cold climate, consider the bright side.

Probably won't take delivery until the spring anyway, so you don't have to worry about slapping on winter wheels/tires immediately upon delivery.

It's the little things...

I can wait.. the problem is that the longer the wait is the higher the risk of Bmw deleting options, stop sales, things running out.

The supply chain mess doesn't seem to have an end in site. With BMW deleting options on other models I am worried that its going to make its way to the G8x

Just placed my order and number 4 on waitlist for M3C Xdrive. Excited like everyone, CA told me it would be around February for my allocation. Hoping it gets here sooner but just have to be patient.

2nd in line at an M certified dealer… 3rd in line at another dealer… 2 deposits going, hopefully one of them hits for a February allocation. Fingers crossed. Getting harder and harder to find dealers willing to sell you the car for sticker price in New England.

I think there are about 350 BMW dealers in the US. I wonder if dealers can get more than 1 per month. I'm number 3 at a small to medium sized dealership.

Yes, but depends on many factors. But mainly volume of the model(s) sold in a set period of time

I've moved up three spots in one week at one dealer and two in another but only moved up once in each since late august

My dealer told me they're not getting any more allocations until January. I have moved up 2 spots since mid-October. Hoping for a March allocation.
