Ive been two days with 10mm in the front and 13mm in the back, Pzeros tires. No rubbing at all, we tested two passengers turning back and forward. M3 xdrive, Stock height.

I don’t get why some people are going wider front vs rear spacers, and others are doing the complete opposite. I see a lot of 15F/10R or 15F/12R, then also see people doing the reverse and going 12F/15R. Any logic here? Are some people trying to induce oversteer and others trying to get understeer? Or just purely aesthetics? If 15 works in the front and also works in the rear, wouldn’t it make sense to do 15 (or 12 or 10) on both front and rear so that you are widening the track equally front to rear and not messing with the factory track ratio front to back?

From the factory the front wheels are tucked in a little more under the fender compared to the rear wheel. People are trying to even out how flush the wheels and tires are with the fender.
At least that’s my understanding.

I have 13mm in front and 10mm in the back currently without any lowering.
Also tried 15/13 but to me it looked too much. And I tried to mess less with the geometry because the factory handling without spacers felt the best.

We put 15/15 on my buddies M3 and the rear looks perfect if not a couple mm too strong and the front looks like it could handle 5 more honestly. He has not said it rubs anywhere and is at stock height.

I just picked up an M4 to hold me over while I wait for the CSL and it's lowered. Appears to want about 30mm lol.

For anyone that has the FC Kit that comes with the extended length lug bolts... what do you do about wheel locks? Or do you guys not run wheel locks with the spacers installed? Or is there a separate wheel lock kit you can get that is extended length?

You can buy extended length wheel locks from Turner Motorsports, I believe. I was going to, but never got around to it. Now, I am switching to studs and my lug nuts have built in wheel locks.

I Don’t run wheels locks 🤷🏻 Like the msg above it’s one of those things that I wanted to do but I forgot. Side note, if they really want your wheels a simple wheel lock won’t stop them just an FYI.

Correct. I can zip off most wheel locks with a 12 point socket and a Milwaukee Fuel Impact, just as quick as I can without the lock being there.

I have a headache trying to figure out spacer sizes lol. I have a xdrive g82 and got Michelins. I’m planning on lowering the car on H&R vtf and going 15mm front and 12mm rear. Will I have rubbing issues? Or I should be good. I heard the Xdrive is different so that’s my question.

I’m running 18mm F & 15mm R dropped on H&R VTF has w Michelin’s no rubbing. G80 m3 Xdrive

I'm running the same but now my car has settled so I'm getting a rub on left drivers side and broke a fin. I'm getting it adjusted up a hair this week to see if it helps.

From my research to my understanding the m3 xdrive can go wider on spacers then the m4 xdrive?

I have a G80 lowered on AST springs, went with 12.5 in the rear and originally 10 in the front but it was rubbing. Went to a 5 mil now and no rub but feel like they are still tucked too much. Anybody running lowering springs and have rubbing issues in the front? Amy suggestions? Thanks!

I received the Pirellis from factory but will eventually switch to the Michelins. I have done a ton of research on this topic and listed my preferred setup below for convenience. Both setups should result in no rubbing issues or the need for cutting/heating the fender linings.

Pirellis (with KW HAS)
10mm front
12mm rear

Michelins (with KW HAS)
15mm front
13mm rear

IND recommends 12F/12R but I see you put 10F/12R for Pirelli with HAS. Will 12F cause rubbing for Pirellis on HAS?

Yes. Anything bigger than 10F with Pirellis you will rub unless you do some fin cutting.

I just switched to Michelins and am jumping up to 12s

Thanks. Just placed the order for 10F/12R with MS from EAS. Cant wait to get them mounted with the BMW OEM HAS Kit!

It did in the front in reverse at full lock on the lowest HAS height setting. After raising it, it was fine but if you are looking for full clearance at the lowest ride height 12mm on P0s will not work.

No issues whatsoever.

If you go larger than 10s on the front with p zeros, it is confirmed you will rub.

Plz no roasterino, but can someone give me the rundown on which brands of spacers are recommended to run? I'm leaning towards Future Classic or H&R as brands of choice but I have no idea which is considered the best... if that's even possible.

Future Classic is the best from my experience, super high quality.
