Beautiful car and wheels! I want to get the exact same wheel and tire size but with Cup 2s for track use (19 inch square config with 285 tires). However, I'm worried about the tires rubbing - did you notice that at all, any wear on your inner wheel liner?
If so, I may go with the 275.

We haven't brought in a G87 M2 yet for testing, I'm still looking to collect volunteers in the Bay Area to help us with that project. Its looking like the m3/4 fitments are similar but the M2 front fitment might not match the M3 with wider setups so I'd like to get some testing of these wheels done prior to selling them to M2 customers. If you are local and willing to help us with that project, you can find more info here: https://g42.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...highlight=apex -Tom

285/35/19 on the front, considering it's 10mm more than the stock 275 width, does the tire rub? |

It won't rub under normal driving conditions. The amount of rubbing is also dependant on the tire you run. Not all tires are created equal despite sharing the same listed size and wider tires are more likely to rub. -Tom

Sorry for Reviving an old thread.
Any chance we can fit 305/30/19 squared in the m3 comp xdrives? Really contemplating getting the Apex VS-5RS in 19x11 squared then wrapped in 305/30/19 for a meaty track set up. I saw Jackie Ding with the G87 M2 was able to gobble up the same size as stated. I wondering if it’ll work for the M3c as well. Any input would be appreciated, thank you! |
