Try launching your M3 20 times and bringing it for clutch warranty. Lets see what happens.

If they were trying to cut costs and cater to enthusiasts, why did they need to put in a flimsy, expensive DC gearbox?

Clutch is a wear item and does not cost 20k to replace. I don't see your point.

BTW this link is already posted in the "Why buy a GTR" forum
I have used launch mode in the M3 at least 60 times never a issue

sad day for nissan maybe they should include a free tranny since you will be paying 30k over sticker anyway lol

Components of a DCT gearbox can still be replaced without replacing the whole thing. Nissan refuses to do so, though.

Ah I gotcha. Either way, there is no language in the M3 manual or warranty that says using the DCT launch control will void your warranty.

According to the parts catalog, the clutch unit pack in the DCT does not have a part number and seems like you have to buy the entire transmission which comes with the clutch pack. Price is $10,000 plus fluids and labor.

I have been asking this forever and most of the time people kill me for saying I would not own the GTR because you cant get a stick. I never liked that trans and it looks like I was RIGHT.
