GoPro decided to act up as usual and didn't record the best session, but here's a video with my wife acting as laptimer support 2:03.1 on the video, 2:01.8 as days best. Last edited by RM73; 08-28-2023 at 08:43 AM.. |

ATX_G80 I think that’s a great time for COTA. I assume not on street tires, right? Other modifications? If I remember right, GT3s barely run that time. I think Chin Motorsports guys were able to run in 27s or 28s in stock 991 GT3, not sure of 992s.

Nice time! How do you like the Cobalt pads? Any fade at Laguna Seca? Street performance? Noise?

They are absolutely brutally loud for the street, performance seems fine, maybe a little slippery when first driving in very cold weather, need a little extra peddle to come to a full stop. I could live with sounding like a school bus or something but the wife refuses, i end up changing them out every time. I can do all 4 pads and tires in a few hours now so not terrible for "track prep" |

For my next autocross I'm going to use my street wheels/tires (currently P-Zeros) to get a feel for the difference and confirm my gut feeling that the AD09s need some good heat before they really start working well. At SoW i have absolutely no complaints. They are much better than I am and did everything that i asked of them and then a little more. Meaning, that even when I overdrove a couple of corners and missed my turning point (too late hitting the braking point) the fronts still had enough bite that i was able to at least salvage the corner to setup for the next. On my Drive Analyzer, even though I rarely got a chance to really look at it, I'd see 1.3Gs flash across the screen regularly. It took me pushing the rear quite hard to get the rear to let go, and when it did let go, recovery was trivial. Now that I've said all that... I'm an absolute noob at this. This was my first track day that wasn't at Thermal Club in an M School. So take anything that I've said with a grain of salt and if it doesn't make sense, now you know why.
