You're right, this won't be forgettable, like PTSD.

Spent some time in the G20 section and decided if I stick to BMW, I'm going M340i. G80 with a more aggressive version of the front end of the M340i would have been great. The front end of the G8x is just atrocious.

The render is amazing OP, but I am really not a fan of the design. I hate to say it, looks like my next car is not M. Same thing with my s1000rr, the new design is hideous. NO!

Look at the new M2 it so beautiful and it flows. Why not design the same thing!

The M2 already looks dated compared to M2c and rear on both is questionable design at best.

However, the F8x m3 and m4 is quite possibly a timeless design from all angles.

it does look better with your render but its definitely not the right successor to F8x series, which is a timeless design IMO

Really great renders. Thanks for sharing. I'm not sure about that green. It is a tacky color IMO. I agree the brand needs a radical design to compete with the rest of the market, but unfortunately, the 4er design is horrendous to say the least. It is simply ugly and it has no class. Will probably go for the new 3er or go for the Lexus LC500.

BMW had a chance to really knock it out of the park with this car. That front grill is hideous. No matter what anyone says, it makes the car a joke. Should've left the original grill on it, and you have a winner.

However, BMW's most controversial (being very kind) front grills design of the G80 & G82 is the biggest disappointment for me and a great number of BMW's long time M3 faithfuls .

It's almost as thought BMW's design team has been infiltrated by a competitor's brand, corrupted to make it the ugliest thing. I'd check some internal bank accounts to see who's paying the design team

People realize that these aren’t renders in the usual sense where pictures of cars are altered. These are drawings and will always be very far from how a car looks in real life. That’s not a knock on the skills of the OP, he is doing a great job here, that’s just the nature of drawings.

BMW should have left the M2 grill alone

The M2c's mustache grill is not a timeless design

I know what's wrong with the grill...The horizontal slats look way much cooler and more aligned than the diamond dot grill which looks absurd. In these render with the horizontal slats and revised edges, the car now look more poised and mean. I wish BMW went with then render version.
