What I am going to question is this car pulling an absurd profit down the road. Most "car people" are going to know this is mostly a bodykit/livery package. It's encroaching on McLaren Senna pricing. You could get two GT2 RS Weissach which is faster than almost anything else on the street, has a Nurburgring lap record, tons of custom engineering, and historically holds crazy value. In my very humble opinion, I think we're going to see some remorse sales on these in the next year for under $500K.

Spec-wise, did they have to build a bespoke transmission to handle the power? Or is this a fortified G8X transmission?

The original concept was reported to have a bespoke rear transaxle (which is the least of what should have been included for the price tag). Sure makes the M4 CSL an absolute bargain given thats basically what this is, With some carbon panels, centrelocks & a paint job, for more than an extra half a million bucks.🙄

To the people that are throwing stones and casting their massively limiting beliefs and total lack mentality, you should realize you are responsible for everything in your life. Your deep jealousy for others wealth is precisely why you will never create abundance and limitless success.
Bless him, wish him luck and congratulate him, and maybe, you too will find more joy and perhaps more money in your life.

Just using Porsche as an example because it’s suddenly cool to mention them on this forum. Someone buys Porsche but another person says well I can buy A Ferrari/Lamborghini/Aston Martin/Rolls Royce for the same money. Are those cars really better? Maybe, maybe not but ultimately you buy what you like. Especially when you’re shopping at this price point. |

Sorry to be that guy but this is the i8 all over again. It looked good when we saw it a few years back. Now it looks like it belongs in the lineup. Tomorrow it will look stale. It's both ahead of it's time and past it's prime at the same time.
If BMW is going to go bold they need to do it the right way. Shock us. This isn't shocking. It still looks cool. I'll give it that. |

I could still see the i8 looking relatively fresh for at least another lifecycle. |

I do not personally find this particular BMW car to be desirable
However, good luck with it. It certainly is bold and has hommage historic value |

I think most people are criticizing BMW, not the buyer. People are free to spend their money how they choose and should buy what makes them happy.
My issue is with BMW for delivering such a disappointing product. It's emblematic of their continued shift to being a lifestyle and marketing brand rather than an engineering company. They are so committed to cost savings by parts sharing that they won't develop any special drivetrain parts for $750K sports car. Just like how an M4 CSL has the same basic trans as a 320i. A high-end product's redeeming quality should never solely be just that it's low-volume. The product itself should be special. |

All negative comments come from people who can’t even dream of having the purchasing power to buy it, they don’t understand it. It’s the same thing where kids meet people with Ferraris at Cars and Coffee and ask why they didn’t buy a Corvette, which performs better and is cheaper. It becomes a Facebook or YouTube comments section. BTW my favourite response from a Ferrari owner to the Corvette question is “I considered both and liked the Ferrari better; which one did you go with?” This owner of this car in this thread is probably thinking the same (or, as someone said, “I already have a Porsche GT car and a Ferrari, which one did you go with?”) |

Damn! So many haters.. none of us got invited to put our names on the waitlist for a reason! We are not the target audience, because of our bank accounts. Let the guy have some good vibes!
Nothing wrong with being privileged! We don’t know the guy. He could have build some startup and make millions and spending his $$$$. Value is relative! People are dropping millions on watches these days. |

I really doubt this is the only car this young man has anyway. Market cost aside, it's still a dope car even if it is vastly overpriced.
Gotta watch these haters at all times, comin' out mouth frothing you feel me? Hate and jealousy is obviously alive and well and will always be. The sooner y'all losers realize some people who are brought to this earth don't need to work a single hour in their life, the happier y'all will be. Life ain't fair and since the dawn of man, it never was. Y'all finna remain broke bums full of resentment and negativity with that kind of attitude and mindset you feel me?
