100% worth it. It feels like a brand new car.
The trans recalibration makes a good bit of difference in terms of drivability and overall responsiveness/eagerness to go even with stock ECU tune on the cars. Gets rid of a bit of torque request limits the stock calibration has.

I just had my CS + dazzle tune reset by software update. Driving the car without the tune for a few days made me realize how essential it is, especially the transmission. Bimmer-remote guys were able to get me recoded quickly at a discount of the original fee i paid.

I thought Bimmer-remote coding was a life time purchase and didn’t need to repay if over written by the dealer?

That’s for CarPlay activation not for coding/flashing services.

Definitely agree that the transmission tune is the single biggest improvement in the CS package. No more pauses in between shifts, far sharper in all modes, and smoother than stock in comfort and sport.

In my view, there's zero downside.

I am considering getting the CS/CSL steering coding.

My G82 6MT is from April 2021 (I-step at shipment S18A-21-3-546).

Will it probably need a flash of the EPS ECU prior to coding? Would other ECU's also need flashing?

AFAIK they don't offer any discounted price for only getting some of the coding. I knew this going in and I got everything except the suspension flash. If you're only doing it for the steering, I don't think the price tag is worth it.

I think, I have seen somewhere a package with discount for 6MT.

Anyway, I am looking to get a heavier steering. Maybe it is worth it.

I am just speculating, but according to the investigations of another member, only few parameters are changed in the coding of steering.

These are probably values corresponding to the car model, instead of the calibration curve itself. But, that's just a guess.

My software version is older than the release of the CS/CSL models. So, the question, if the calibration curves for the new models were already available for choosing in the old software.

So an OTA update will reset the coding like it would a Femto unlock?

There are always threads about user experience for each major OTA update, my view is if a future update comes out that has significant improvements or changes then I'll go for it and have Kuba re-do coding.

But most OTA updates are minor at best and bring no noticeable changes. I waited for the 11.2023.50 then coded and that's where the car will stay.

I think they're mostly security patches. Why can't it just be simple?!?!?

So I had kubax86 over at Bimmer Remote Coding do the Full CS Flash package on my 2021 G80 M3 Comp RWD last Friday, and had a week worth of city/highway driving to really get a feel for the changes.

Transmission Flash: Shifts much quicker, more raw
DSC Flash: Don't have before/after experience to compare
Steering Flash: Slightly stiffer, sharper feeling in turns
Differential Flash: Don't have before/after experience to compare
Suspension Flash: More firm, less rebound bounce over bumps

Check out my video to see the process and review!

What version are you guys using? I had my car re-done today because my mechanic told me that there is a newer version (Flashing EGS g80 CS v2.0).
It seems to me that than car shifts smoother on M1 for sure quick and not as jerky full throttle up to 7,500rpms and down shifting.
