Rear Door Scuff Plates?

Can someone with an M3 check to see if their rear doors have scuff plates? My front doors have the aluminum logo scuff plates but my back doors have nothing. My G20 330 had scuff plates on the back doors, so I cannot imagine why they would leave them off the M3. Maybe they just left them off my car.

You had them on the 330? I don't have them on mine.

Yes, my 330 had them on the rear door if I am not mistaken, it could have been my F30 before that which I am thinking about. In either event, the M3 rear doors just look empty without them.

Hadn't actually noticed, but you're right, they're not there. It is a small area, and the flat bit is quite small, maybe that's why.

No scuff plates on the rear doors of my G01 X3 either. Perhaps it was a switch made for the G platform across the board?

None on mine either. I tend to wipe them town with a microfiber cloth and cleaner almost daily since I have a 4 year old that steps on it when climbing in

I noticed the "gap" first time I opened the rear doors. As well as these BMW also forgot rear seat nets, rear centre armrest and integrated cupholders... Maybe they are intentionally not catering to rear passengers

That is why I noticed the scuff plates being missing--my kids get in and out and their shoes hit the area.

There's your answer. Do kids really NEED shoes? :-)
