On my M340i, there were "wing" like projections that I believe were from the bottom of the car. Is this not on the M3?
yea no i was surprsied to find the G8X not coming with the wing style "light carpet".. just a light underneath the mirror

so if that light carpet was projected from bottom of the car... i guess its cuz not compatible with the black side sill extension pieces?

I want the projector door lights but don't think they have it for the G models yet.

M mats are nice.
They are available, I've got them installed. They are the 50mm part 63-31-2-463-924, my 2 local dealers couldn't figure out how to order them so I got them from IND.
Right on. Thanks so much. Found it.

I found it for a lot cheaper on other websites, make sure you google the part number and compare prices.

Are the M1 and M2 buttons tied to each set of keys? IOW, can you have 4 predetermined M modes between the two set of keys?

Yes you can. Each profile can have separate M1 and M2 buttons.

I got a 10% off accessories on the "schedule your 1200 mile service" e-mail sent the week after my 1200 mile service was completed.

Before I even got the e-mail, I bought the scent starter kit, extra scents, and bug/tar remover when I was at the local dealer but none of that is G80/G82 specific.

How do you decide when the new car smell has dissipated enough that you want to replace it with another scent?

I didn't like the new car smell. It didn't smell bad, I'm just not a fan of the plastic smells. Nice thing about the BMW scents is that they're light and subtle, compared to the grocery store alternatives, so it's not overwhelming when you get into the car.

Still don't have good ones, but got some frames from a video I was taking.

Done today: Dealer plate frame removed. I prefer the frameless look, no "Local Sports Team" frame for me.

Then my wife took kit out for an appointment and "accidentally" got up to 104 passing someone on the way home.

If people start giving me the finger while I drive like a sane person, I'll know why.

If you use your phone as a key, you can have two more.

Rocker Panels

Sorry if this has been asked, could not find it on a search. How are the rocker panels holding up? From the one I test drove, they didn't seem all that durable.

I got mine PPF'd and so far they are fine (~1,600 miles). Definitely PPF on them is key, same with the high gloss mirror caps

I guess that depends on where you drive. The same issue used to be a topic with the F82, but in a total of 6.5 years with two F82's, I never had any issues.
