Hardly the dubsesd car we’re all pretending it was.

With that said, the new design is pretty bad. And it’s not even the grille. The front bumper design actually offends me more.

Exactly my thoughts... In my view it clearly makes the F80 look dated (and I'm an F30 owner atm). I still have to see it in person to make my final judgement but I can't deny that the rear and some other design elements make the F80 look old. I understand some people prefer older cars but some of us want to move on too

Sir, respectfully so, it is once again people who think like you beat them to the punch. So many threads its the people who talk like this that arrive before anyone makes one complaint. Hate change? We don't have to like the car man, we really don't. Nothing will make the f80 look ancient either. Keep dreaming.

I do like that interior, hopefully M2 will get those seats next.

Each one of you will make their own choice and have their own taste.
The line up is complementary with Alpina's B3 in both limousine and touring form (and much earlier than the M3 touring...).
Want to talk about the front design 😀: go for the M3/M4
Want to -not- talk about the front design and be low profile: B3 ! 😁
Good luck in making your choice !

I'd get G80 in Black to hide the add on plastic trim

No such shenanigans on the F80

M3 fender flares end curves look much greater than the coupe IMO. Not since the e90 has the coupe looked better than the sedan.

To the comments about people not liking change...I understand change is necessary but if the grills (can't say kidney anymore) stayed the same or changed slightly vs dramatically would that have been so bad? Either way I'd get a manual version if I could ever afford one.

Its like the hot chick with the great body that you see in a bikini...and then she turns around and you see her face and it ruins everything. Everything about the car is great until you get to that front end...I still can't get past it.

seems like more and more starting to warm up to it as it rolls out. Who said that may happen? I feel like I heard that before somewhere

I want to see it in action, some live rolling video.

I think once people see these on the road and modded (lowered with spacers or more aggressive offset wheels) they'll come around to it more. It's most likely going to blow the doors off the F8x, especially in a straight line (if that's your thing, I don't really care about that). F8x values will also not reverse and start to appreciate... it'll still be the older, NA cars whose value will slowly continue to rise.

I mean, if one is looking for a new, manual performance sedan this is pretty much it. If you don't want a manual, it's definitely a tougher sell since you can go to pretty much any other marque and find an AWD + 8AT performance car these days.

For me, my next car candidates are manual G80, Tesla Model 3 Performance or back to Porsche if I can make it work again.
I suspect track performance will even outshine straight line. The engine will help both while the wide front tires will help immensely on track with corner grip. Then add AWD and forget it, it will pulverize the F8X in both categories.

+1 minus getting one lol. Bigger would have been fine, as the f80 grill is small enough to grow imo. But this is too big. If I liked it enough, manual version would be the only way.

Changes have to come so deal with it or don't buy it. Go and buy something else. People complain about every new M3 generations but end up buying it anyways. Give it a chance to look at it in person then decide. Y'all Sounds like them girlfriends that can't decide where to eat.

How are people loving this? This is the most god ugly thing I've ever seen in a car sense. Mercedes will most definitely outperform on sales with the c63 now.
