I love the new colors. Goofy grill doesn’t bug me. The rear fenders are the wrong choice on the M3 but I assume removable. That plastic thing to cover the tire is ridiculous.

In the end what will matter most is how it drives.
Hopefully they improved on the following:
- steering feel (I expect some improvement... this is the biggest miss in the F80)
- engine sound (doubtful, but let’s wait for the MPE. I think they just gave up and made it quieter stock)
- interior and infotainment (looks legit, perhaps the largest leap forward)
- weight (F80 is already light. Lighter is always better).

Can’t wait to see performance numbers comparison for RWD vs. F80. And weight. And to drive it to really get a feel for it. Hope it has a soul, looks are secondary.

I just want to see the m3 lowered with an aggressive fitment with some aero pieces.

Nah I think it’s for US
In US regulations you can’t have the tire stick out past the body.
So they had three options:
1) make it more sexy by widening the hips
2) lose performance with narrower tires
3) stick shitty cheap plastic pieces on the sides to pass regulations at the expense of looks and self-respect. But don’t worry...they will sell them in carbon fiber as a $1400 option.

When I saw it in person I thought the hood had the appearance that it was sitting up kind of high compared to my current M4. I hate it when people make these comparisons, but almost kind of Dodge charger like. Seemed like it was high and straight instead of being more curvy like the current generation

Digging the green color, which is probably the nicest green I've seen.

As for the rest of the car...still looks hideous to me. F80/F82 were love at first sight...my thoughts on this car aren't even neutral...pretty repulsive actually. Entire front end, including hood, needs a massive redesign (exception to the headlights). May consider LCI if they "fix" that part of the car.

I’m so glad I traded my F36 for a 2SS 1LE instead of sticking around for this absolute disaster of a vehicle. When I first saw the concept I didn’t believe BMW was stupid enough to actually go through with this design, yet here we are. I hope the sales are disastrous and they’re forced to do a facelift after 1 or 2 years. The M340i looks amazing and they had one job, one, slap a freaking wide body kit on it. My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined.

Sick to my stomach...honestly feels like their target market are flashy kids who want burble on the most aggressive setting. Will miss the subtle-aggressive and purist looks of the past.

Huge fan of those carbon seats. Look pretty amazing. That green is great too...all in all the car seems solid besides the grill, which I wager we'll all grow used to in a year or so. So let's look on the bright side, at least they're keeping the 6MT alive. Would rather that than a beautiful M3 only available with an 8 speed auto.

Interesting. I'm waiting to see it on the road as it's always different from an indoor low light viewing.

But from the official picture now it seems that the hood to grill edge protrudes a lot which might contribute to the feeling of it being less curvy/muscular.

The with bright colors, the black skirts looks sunken which gives out the illusion that that's where the body ends, making the car seem to sit higher than it is.

I didn't love all of the lips and skirts that they had one the ones we saw. I tend to never like those low front lip spoilers. I was hoping they were add on parts, but the guy seemed to say they were standard, just CF on the competition vs regular black on the regular models. I'm waiting to see what the normal version of it looks like.
