What is the temp the tires are "warmed up" at?
New to summer tires as well as rwd
I'm a paranoid freak and wait till the tires get to about 80+ Degrees F Although on colder or rainy days, the tires sometimes don't get passed 65 degrees F, is this still warm? At what temp should I be cautious?

It's a range and there are only anecdotal numbers for conditions other people have experienced.
When it's below 60F, 20-30 degrees above ambient is a good tire temperature that should be providing a comfortable amount of grip. You can do hard acceleration in a straight line, but even a slight curve may cause the car to move around a bit. Even if your tires are warm, a cooler road surface may not be able to provide as much grip. In that case, you'll still notice some squirming or sliding so the tire temperature isn't the only thing to keep in mind. |

What is the optimal tire temperature for the Michelin PS4S? Besides feel, what temps should I be looking at when the tires are warmed up to their optimal temp?? What is too high?
I live in SoCal so it doesn’t get too cold here. Avg. temp is probably 65-70 deg. F. |
