Rock noise

All I hear driving down the street are rocks hitting the bottom of my car constantly. It's especially loud coming from the rear. It sounds like rocks are rolling around in my trunk sometimes - that's how bad it is. I never realized how rock-covered the roads in my area are until now.

Yes, and It's really annoying. I constantly think it's rocks hitting the paint, and it makes me anxious.

The rocks sound have a lot to do with the tires. When I put on my winter rims (which are 245 wide 19") that sound is completely gone. One of the first things I noticed when I put my OEM summer setup on is how much rocks the tires kick up. You hear the sound all the time. I'm not sure if this car (F90) has rear wheel well carpeting but I'm assuming it does because it is even more focused on luxury than the G8X.

Do you think if I switch from P Zeros to PS4S the sound will go away for me too? Mostly at least, I'd understand if rocks still got kicked up here and there.

I get it with the P4S on my F92, which of course has a lot more insulating considerations than the G8x. Definitely the tires as I too didn't have an issue with my winters. Both P4S and the P Zeros made for the M cars are pretty damn sticky, but I rarely notice anything clean surfaces (which are hard to come by early spring in the northeast).

The MPSS I had on the F80 wasn't nearly as bad from this perspective, you had to be on a pretty bad surface to notice anything similar, but those tires didn't grip nearly as well either.

Yea PS4S should grip even better than the P Zeros so I think you'll continue getting rocks being picked up. Oh yea, does the G8X suffer from squeaky brakes? I heard the brakes are very similar to the F90, and a lot of F90s squeak like crazy. But I guess that's just race car things .

My breaks became squeaky after driving about 100 miles, but I suspect this could be normal for new breaks on HP cars and should go away after putting on more miles. My P Zeros PZ4's do bring up lots of rocks, particularly when going over newly paved pot holes, that is the worst.
