Thanks, I nearly had a heart attack followed by self loathing for two days.

Now just have to get fixed…

It’s the BMW All Weather Rubber Floor Mats (ones that have a lower profile)

Supposed to pick the car up this Saturday, meanwhile there's guys in the week 4 build thread already done with their break in service haha.

On the books for PPF and tint March 26 too. Give me time to swap some of my CF goodies onto the front of the car.

Wow I still have 317 miles to go, but scheduled break in service for March 19!

The self-loathing is a necessary part of the healing process, my friend ...replaying the scenario in your mind a million times until you accept it happened and can move on.
I remember when I cracked the BMW Performance CF front lip ($700ish) I had on my E92 on a curb. And of course I did it in the bank parking lot, what an omen ...

How do you like the floor mats? I still have the stock carpet ones.

My car is getting detailed, PPF, alignment, TLG mud flaps, and the Zunsport oil cooler guard now. I should have it back end of the week. It's been a long week with my Ford Escape rental car.

Thank you for the kind words. I’m getting it re-ppf next week. So should look much better with that fixed. I decided not to have it repainted since it’s so minor and the fact that I don’t trust myself not to do it again.

Ford Escape…I’m so sorry

I very much like the floor mats, makes the car look more put together. When I put those in, I found myself asking how they could put carpet mats in a $100k car like that….

That's all the convincing I needed ...BMW all-weather floor mats ordered.

GL with the re-PPF!

Ya they’ve been my favorite mats I’ve tried. I’ve been disappointed with OEM mats in general over the years.

3 minor complaints.

The buttons near the shifter feel like a hybrid of haptic and a normal button. I wish they had a more tactile “click”

The sound system really is a weak point. I thought some guys were just being nitpicky, but finally listening to it I think it’s way underpowered making music sound muddied at mid to higher volume. I’ll add an amplifier down the line, I think that will solve 80% of it.

The steering has like no return to center, or very little. I believe that can be tuned out with bimmercode so I’ll be looking into that.

Other than that I love this thing! Drives like it’s on rails and you can just feel that it wants to go and is not content just doing the speed limit lol.

I agree on all points. I’d be interested in more about the amplifier and steering wheel.

Tell me more about what you mean in the steering. What would coding it do?

She definitely wants to go fast hahaha it’s begging for it

You can basically code in the M3 CS steering, suspension tuning, and transmission tuning via Bummercode like you would the antidazzle coding. The guys who have done this have said the steering feels much better.

G8X coding

Oh interesting! I wonder how it comes through? Is it like another option to select on setup screen or does it just upgrade it in general?

I like that site seems like they can do it remotely so I don’t mess anything up 😂 I’m guessing others have used that site before?

Ya once its coded it stays that way unless you code it back or if an over the air update for idrive comes in it will code every back to stock.

I do believe it’s a fairly well known site.

On a different topic, tossed on some leather color guard, installed my SST valve controller, installed the M3 center console trim piece, and installed my Mishimoto oil cooler guard.

I got an alignment done. It was a little off from the factory. That's been the case with every BMW I ever bought.

Good to hear I feel mine is the same. Do you just ask them to check the alignment? I’m going for break in service Tuesday

They can't check it without putting it on the alignment machine, so you might as well just have the alignment done.

Im going to get mine done as soon as I install my AST springs. I thought I noticed my steering wheel was ever so slightly off center as it sits.
