Yo, I've went through this whole thread and have had a question since you're original comment.
What about swapping out the white DRL boards (in my case for yellow boards)? Would you also not mess with that element of the exterior lighting system? Or is that way less of a concern then swapping in AM plug&play head/tail light housing assemblies? My intention is to buy 4 full module/board assemblies (ie, w/ the boards already heat sunk to the modules), swap those in, and store the OEM assemblies. Sorry for the off topic Q here, y'all. Just need a quick yes/no/maybe from the tier 1 auto mfg retiree. |

They look great! Any issues with fitment? Was it the DHGate link you posted? I am torn between the smoked ones over the red. Afraid they might not be bright enough compared to the red lenses

No fitment issues, I would def go for the red ones. Smoked are hard to see in any configuration of BMW lights. Yes that DH gate link but I contacted the seller directly on WhatsApp and worked through final cost etc - great guy. |

I'm still on the fence whether I should switch out the OEM boards or not tbh... I'm more concerned that it won't have the same output as the OEM LEDs. (I have the very early version) As for having issues, as long as it's properly affixed to the heat sink and sealed/installed correctly, I wouldn't think it can cause much issues, if any. |

nearwater4me thanks, mans. I'm looking at ice driver's assemblies on AliExpress. 120 USD total for all four modules and boards. Others on here have installed without issue (yet) and a reputable vendor per AE's stats. However, seems suspiciously inexpensive, perhaps cheap. No?

For that have done this and have run them for a bit, are they holding up? Are they bright enough during the day time to be safe (as bright or brither than stock)? Any pics of them in the day time?
