Yo, I've went through this whole thread and have had a question since you're original comment.
What about swapping out the white DRL boards (in my case for yellow boards)?

Would you also not mess with that element of the exterior lighting system? Or is that way less of a concern then swapping in AM plug&play head/tail light housing assemblies?

My intention is to buy 4 full module/board assemblies (ie, w/ the boards already heat sunk to the modules), swap those in, and store the OEM assemblies.

Sorry for the off topic Q here, y'all. Just need a quick yes/no/maybe from the tier 1 auto mfg retiree.

They are the same as bayoptiks. I can get you connected to the guy who I bought from directly. I think was $7xx shipped.

They look great! Any issues with fitment? Was it the DHGate link you posted? I am torn between the smoked ones over the red. Afraid they might not be bright enough compared to the red lenses

No fitment issues, I would def go for the red ones. Smoked are hard to see in any configuration of BMW lights. Yes that DH gate link but I contacted the seller directly on WhatsApp and worked through final cost etc - great guy.

I actually bought a set of yellow DRLs for my laser headlights but never got to installing them.
I'm still on the fence whether I should switch out the OEM boards or not tbh... I'm more concerned that it won't have the same output as the OEM LEDs. (I have the very early version)

As for having issues, as long as it's properly affixed to the heat sink and sealed/installed correctly, I wouldn't think it can cause much issues, if any.

nearwater4me thanks, mans. I'm looking at ice driver's assemblies on AliExpress. 120 USD total for all four modules and boards. Others on here have installed without issue (yet) and a reputable vendor per AE's stats. However, seems suspiciously inexpensive, perhaps cheap. No?

For that have done this and have run them for a bit, are they holding up? Are they bright enough during the day time to be safe (as bright or brither than stock)? Any pics of them in the day time?

The only saving grace is that the mirror signal is very bright for turning and the 3rd brake light is bright for stopping.

Any updates on these for people who have them? Still enjoying them?

Any installed pics of the smoked ones?

I rather not deal with them. I'm going to seal the housing myself.

I did it for the G82 M4 you do need to code it but its not that hard and some wiring and its all good

Looks good. I got mine from Alibaba and they are also using the brakelight as the turn signal. Be great to just plug a harness between the harness from the tailight and the CSL style light. Would it be that easy or do you need to run from fuse box? Also can I use Bimmercode to do the coding?

I am building the Harness with the OEM Plugs and will be available soon - All coding can be done in Bimmercode - there is alot of mixed coding I'll be doing the how to guide after the holidays but all is working great no issues no error codes
