As I mentioned before, the only ship that left Bremerhaven on 11/25 on their schedules is Apollon Highway. I can see how it's easy to mix up Athens with Apollon. Hopefully it's on Apollon Highway and arriving early Dec. I'll check back with Genius in a few days to see if they've got it straightened out. I'll also see if they can provide the BOL number. That will really let me confirm the cargo.
They told me expected to be in Brunswick GA on Dec 9.

Your my garage shows on a boat but genius said it’s still at port? Or your my garage shows in transit from the factory to port and genius said it’s at port ?
I have not heard of the my garage being ahead … usually it’s the opposite for a day or two.

Yeah, mine sat at the outgoing port for 5 weeks. It arrived at the US port a couple weeks ago and I'm still waiting for transport to the dealer even though it was released to carrier last week and my dealer is only 1 hour from the port.

Unless you're the guy at the top of the list, i do not think youve secured an allocation. The other names on the list dont have a production number it seems.

Yep, that’s what I thought too. My garage has me at 195 in transit. I’ll check with genius today and expect it will be synced up.

Going by your user name and looking at the list with one of those being a Twilight Purple…if I’m correct you are just sitting there in the order bank and you don’t have an actual allocation. Looking at that list, you’ve got several months of waiting before you will even have an allocation at that dealership.

I don’t know how many allocations that particular dealership gets a month but it’s like to be 1-2. Then once you get the allocation you’ll be slotted into a build week which will be at least 4 weeks out from when you get the allocation but likely more than that since you are doing an individual color. Then from there it will be the build time, time to get in a ship, and then delivered so the time frame they gave is possible if they do get more than one allocation a month.

Just make sure that once you get your production number that they formally submit to have it updated to an individual color as it will need to be approved on that specific allocation.

I checked today. Athens is docked in Bremerhaven. Apollon is in Zeebrugge I called Genius to get the BOL and to confirm it's Athens Highway. I mentioned that it was in Bremerhaven today. They said there are instances where the car is loaded elsewhere. Apparently ours were loaded in Zeebrugge. I checked the BOL on the Kline site and it shows Athens Highway is heading to Brunswick with estimated arrival on Dec 10, 10:30 PM. https://apps.klineglobalroro.com/tra...ch?q=HAM144286

Does anyone know if we can check our VINs in the KLine site using the BOL?

According to your photo, you do not even have an allocation yet. No production number = no allocation.

freemium satellite tracking app

I found an app that lets you track ship satellite positions for free-ish. It's called ShipAtlas. You can sign up with an email addy and it doesn't require a payment method. It gives you 20 free tracks before you have to pay to unlock the feature. This should be more than enough to check it a couple times a day while it's in the Atlantic and out of near-shore tracking reach. If you want to check it more often you can create a new account with a different email.

I am using that app, too. You just sign up and one of the options is tracking a vehicle carrier. My ship was still showing last updated 6 days ago. ShipAtlas showed me just north of Puerto Rico. I wasn’t aware of the 20 free track limit. Is that 20 total, 20 ships?

I think 20 total. There's a little $ sign in the upper left that shows how many you have left. It decreases every time you check a track.

Just got production number!

This thread, content, and conversation were extremely helpful while I was looking into custom ordering my first BMW.

I spent 2 weeks working working with 3 local dealerships to attain an allocation for a 2024 M4 Competition xDrive and I am happy to say that I officially received my production number yesterday!

Pumped for the process and will continue to watch this thread for more helpful insights.

Cheers!

Congrats! Give BMW Customer Service a call (hit 0 at each prompt until you get a person) and they'll be able to tell you your build week. You can post in that thread then and follow along with others in your same build week!

Once you get to status 150 and get a VIN, you'll be able to ask them what your actual production date is (that'll be the date your build finishes).

Does anyone happen to have any more information on this? I was also told my vehicle was on the Athens Highway est Dec 10. But I am in Florida. Is Athens Highway supposed to stop at Baltimore then Brunswick?

Pretty much all of the ships that end up on the east coast have a set route they go through. Most of the time it's Baltimore, Brunswick GA, then Galveston in Texas. Anything in the NE to central east offloads at Baltimore, then in the SEUS at Brunswick, then anything to the middle of the country from Galveston in TX.

If you're in FL, your car will be offloaded at Brunswick. I can see the Athens Highway is on its way to Baltimore now. After it stops for a day or two in Baltimore, it's a 3-4 day journey to Brunswick from there.

That BOL link I provided now shows an estimated Brunswick arrival on Dec 13. Vessel Finder has it arriving in Baltimore on Dec 11 at midnight - https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/details/9443073.

BTW, what part of Florida? Mine is going to BMW of Tampa.
