It's a DMV service, but I went through my local AAA branch to do the application and plate pickup (smaller lines and a lot closer to my house). The website says 6-8 weeks, but realistically I'd expect 6-8 months. Whatcha end up picking for your plate?

If anyone steels you literally suck! I've been pondering this now for a couple months. Issue is, I'm not sure how long I'll end up keeping the car, and I also feel like vanity plates are a little "over the top" if said in PC.

..I need to do something though as my BSM doesn't jive well with the TX off white. Decisions decisions.

I never really understood plates like this. Would personally want something creative if I went that route but hope you get whatever you want!

A simple play on words my friend. It’s now been piggy-back’d and Tinkered with enough in having the car since April that I thought it’d be humorous as it is in essence a base 6MT. Maybe the creativity you deem lacking is in the irony of the plate? Appreciate the well wishes and feedback none the less.

I'm with you. All of the plates that are along the lines of G80 M3 or G82 6MT just seem unimaginative to me, but it's not my car so get what makes you happy.

After waiting for 6+ months for my tags to arrive because of COVID delays , my TBII G82 plates have finally arrived, just before Christmas.

My G82 plates are obviously connected to my Silverstone E93 plates, a car I still own and covet.

Took my 6 months to get my car registered in NJ. Took delivery only July 7th and literally got my plates yesterday. They weren't even personalized.
