Just a note for anyone who has registered their car to a tuning platform (BM3/MHD etc), but hasn't sent it off to Finland to have it cracked yet; If you do update you need to talk to the vendor before flashing tunes in the future.
The version you registered your car w and the version on the car needs to be updated/confirmed in their system to be sure it's generating from the correct base version, to avoid a flash breaking the DME. |

Yeah you're good for sure, only a concern if you update after your register the VIN.

Patience. My '23 G80 6MT just received the 07.2023 update not long ago. The OTA rollout is slow and I actually appreciate it. Rushed software sux, but it can be dangerous if cars are involved.

I finally got 07.2023 and had it freeze once on me. When I went in for my break-in service I had them update to 11.2023. So far so good.

It's in the App. Click your car at the top and it shows the "Vehicle Status" page. From there, select "Remote Software Upgrade" and it will tell you your current software (regardless of whether or not an update is available).

That was addressed in 07/2023 btw. CarPlay GPS issues were also fixed in 07/2023.

Anyone here with an 2022 G82 in Australia that had received the latest update 11/2023.
Mine is still with 03/2023, whilst click on the link new features & improvements - leads me to the 11/2023 release.https://www.bmw.com/en-au/offers-and...ade-23-11.html Should I reach out to the dealer for the update? Or is there something I can. Perhaps restarting the idrive system if that helps? Thanks, |

Same deal. My car is shutdown for the winter though and garaged. Doubt I’ll see an update until spring. I do wish there was a better way to try and force one.

I read somewhere that you have to be in the car but before you start it. You then go into the update section then search for an update. No idea how accurate this is but worth a try.
I picked up my car in August of 2023 and it had 3/2023 installed and only updated to 7/2023 in November. It froze on me once so when I took it in for the 1200 mile service I told them. They updated to 11/2023 during the visit. Don’t just ask them to update it or they won’t many times. Say it froze and they will update it. Mine was true but I’m betting if you tell them that they will update. |
