Makes no aese what you’re saying. They are much nicer because they have the right offset and size I want for the car. Don’t care if the original are lighter. I use the original for special events and fakes for everyday.

Nice find.
Do they offer custom offsets as well?
I'm wondering if the fronts can be made in 10" width with customizable offsets...

BBS brings this on themselves with their inability to scale their production and give clients what they want in a timely fashion. The lead times on EVOs at this point is offensive for a wheel that costs as much as it does and is not available in a custom offset.

It’s just like ordering HRE or whatever. You can choose and width and offset.
Many of the other suppliers couldn’t make a 11” width that low offset, guess they didn’t have deep enough blanks.

Mine is like Edelweiss. Offset 14 and 12 on 10,5” and 11”.

Thank you for the response.
Fully customizable is great!
I like the offsets from Apex which has 10mm lower offset for the front to compensate for the wheel width difference of 1".

Looking forward to seeing these on your car Martin.

People are quick to scream fake but are completely unaware that big US companies manufacture wheels and sell forged wheels in very similar factories. Their marketing is just on point.

I did the same thing for my x3m. Set of 2 piece forged hre s101 rep 21’s for 2400$ shipped. Currently in production, but I have high hopes they will be 99% the wheel a 5000$ set would be. There is many sellers on alibaba, download the app and search for forged bmw wheels to see. Send inquiry and they’ll give you a quote, usually pretty promptly. Look over the reviews, many have pics. They also can make any size, offset, finish, and bolt pattern you want at little to no extra charge. I inquired with a lot of different manufacturers and ended up picking the one I liked the most. I’ll be curious how the OP’s set up comes out, def subscribed!

No $2300. The original I’ve paid $9 for but they have no delivery time.

Yep. I'd even take it one step further: these wheels may be made in the same exact factory and by the same personnel that is making Stance, Vossen, Vorsteiner, etc. If you look behind the brands and logos, you'd find a handful of Chinese factories making stuff for everybody.

HRE is the only manufacturer I know of that says their wheels are made in the US.

So the same factory builds Vossen, Vorsteiner and Stance? Interesting given that people on here are saying Stance wheels are trash and break easy. But I dont hear that about Vossen or Vorsteiner.

Sorry, just to clarify: I don't know which factory these brands are using. They don't share that info publicly. But brands that you may think are separate and distinct may be using the same factories, people, and processes to make their products behind the scenes. The only difference is the logo.

I think the wheel industry has come a long way from say...10 - 15 years ago. Replicas were a bit taboo and those who went that route would be shamed for not rocking the real thing.
Comments like: If you spent that much on a car, why go reps OR GL when it cracks, etc.

There are thousands of companies and alot are made overseas. With advancement of technology and design, it has gotten better. In terms of strength and reliablity, i'm not sure. Anyone can say they are JWL or TUV certified these days. However, I haven't seen any major failures from those that use overseas manufactures.

I come from the old school era in the wheel industry in thinking that you mostly get what you pay for. Granted, my thinking may be outdated these days and I'm always open to discussion. Personally I lean toward wheel companies that build in-house only and have a pedigree/history. Not only on quality but service as well.

To the OP, thanks for sharing and being transparent. If you like it, rock it. You build/mod for yourself at the end of the day.

I'm on the flip side of that.

Back in the E46 heyday you either got Dinan or Akra exhaust or you were looked down upon by the "elitists" on E46F and M3F. I know that world well. I never subscribed to that. For my X5M I paid a couple of rednecks in a tiny shop a couple of hundred bucks for my exhaust. Looked and sounded better than 90% of the stuff out there. Hell, my G80 has a $200 eBay lip on it right now.

Wheel tech has come a long way and some of these reps are hard to beat in quality and price. I imagine wheels are no different than the carbon we're being gouged for by some of these companies. They're typically just the middle man with brand stickers.

How can it take over a year to make the wheels! Hope they come in sooner for you.

Yeah I was thinking the same. If you can sell more of them why not bump up production. Think many goes another route because they don’t want to wait.
My initial plan was to get a set of BC Forged until they original arrive but then I went the China route instead. 🙈😁

Just saying.

I am not a fan of BBS or BBS “style” wheels. For me it makes the car look cheap.

What about HRE? ADVANs? Volks?
Volks on a European car? 🤮 But that’s what makes modding fun. Everybody has their own taste.
