CT5-V and CT4-V Blackwing are getting more and more interesting to me. The manual has been confirmed, but outlets are hinting that both RWD and AWD will be available. Also interesting, the lead engineer has hinted that a Wagon might be in the works. I think the car looks sporty and aggressive and the sound on the CT5 is absolutely amazing.
They will be available next Summer, was going to be here sooner, but Covid delayed the release 6 months. I have never owned a sporty American car, but I am definitely going to wait on details, before ordering a G80. Here is a recent update. https://www.motorauthority.com/news/...hots-and-video |

I need AWD so the most viable alternative to me seems to be the new 2020 Audi RS5. But my jury is still out until I can see the new grill in person, and depending on if they wait too long to release a Comp model with AWD.

I have my X3M for 2 more years on lease. Model 3 will probably be under 3 seconds before that's up. Just wish the inside didn't look like a $30,000 car when you are spending $80,000 |

Unless something drastic happens to my M2C. I would rather keep my small 6 speed manual coupe. Let's say someone rear ends it, I would be looking at a M2CS or see what happens with the G series M2C. Or hell, if this thing happens and is affordable, i may have to go this route...
I just enjoy actually driving my car, so i don't think i can give up a manual transmission unless i get an SUV or something.

I had planned on waiting for G8X, and I don't dislike what I've seen so far, but I didn't want to wait till next summer.

I was going to just go for an F80 M3 CS or custom color Comp pack to replace my early F80. didn't like what i was seeing on the new G8X but ended up with a number one spot for a launch car. I'll give it a shot. If i really don't like it i can probably get rid of it pretty easily. its really hard to beat for a 4-door sports sedan. I want great feedback, manual, and RWD. BMW seems to get that its important. giant nose be damned! alternatively i was looking at a Taycan 4S but not quite ready for the switch to electric. my track toy is, has always been, and will always be a GT3 or some variation of that.

Care to elaborate on feedback? Steering has been going downhill from E46 to E90 to F80.
And now there may be a lag issue with the S55 to S58. Weight seems to be still acceptable.

So on a positive note.
I got to tour in a 911 991.1 which is pretty sweet to start with. Having had BMW M3, M5 and the worst one I ever drove the kia of BMW the M2. The Porsche does everything so well, smooth, linear power delivery, long sweepers, short bends. It's a different level of engineering and design. Only short coming was the 7 SPD manual but sold. Amazing car. I am sure the M3 will beat quarter miles records till the GTR comes out with its handsome looks. |

I think a lot of people feel it's ugly as sin but they'll still put up with it.
When it comes to the highest performance models, would one really skip the M3/4 for the likes of the C63 or RS4? I don't think so. BMW will likely have the most neutral handling, balanced chassis, excellent powertrain, and manual option.
