Hey All,

I recently purchased front springs and wheel spacers for all four wheels on my 2023 BMW M3 G80 Comp Xdrive. I am getting quotes from local shops around me (I am in the South Bay Hermosa Beach Area) ranging from $600 to $1000. They are quoting 4-5 hours for just the front springs and 1 hour for the wheel spacers. I am curious if this is overpriced or normal. Thanks.

Front Eibach Springs only + Wheel Spacers

There is not a whole a lot of installing for wheel spacers. Take wheel off put spacer on and put wheel back on.
Spring probably about 2 hours.

Probably charging shop minimum for the spacers but yeah, save yourself some money and put on the spacers yourself.

I had my first set of springs put on for about 650 bucks a couple of years ago, so the low end of your quotes are reasonable.

550 for KW HAS kit installed. Spacer install would be a part of that too if I had bought a set or they reused the set I had.

I would look more at the hours estimate than the shop rate here.

Installing just front and non-adjustable front springs ... that's a couple hours for someone who knows what they're doing. 4-5 hours and a hour for spacers is basically paying them to stand around, shoot the shit, and smoke cigarettes for a few hours.

Front springs are pretty easy on these cars.

When I shopped around for quotes - it was high mainly because most shops hadn't done it before.

I did all four springs myself. If you're a DIYer - front springs are not that bad.

xDrive is slightly more work than 2WD, but the labor quotes you're getting seem a bit on the high side.

If you want to make the drive down to Anaheim, we can get those installed for you.

I paid $200 for Eibach front springs install and they did it little over an hour.

Call them back and say you have a civic, $1500 is lunacy.
I would get an alignment after a few weeks when the springs settle.

Taking mine in this Friday, reputable shop. Was quoted $700 front and rear h&r super sport springs on an xdrive.

I got quotes from like 800-1100 for all four springs. Spacers you could just do yourself.

If It's just front springs, I wouldn't expect to pay more than like 500.

I'm getting my Eibach fronts installed next week. How long should I wait to get the car aligned after the install? Also, the shop is charging me $330 for the fronts. The owner owns an G80 and knows the car very well so I trust them with the install.

Well I ended up paying 500 for everything spring and spacer install and turned out good.

I paid 220$ for full H&R springs install + spacers + oem alignment !
