Fresno was pretty damn cool about the purchase but refused to deliver the car without an in person ID validation. Since I couldnt fly or drive up there last week, their salesman drove 282 miles South to me to do the validation and purchase agreement.
They have been a great dealership and have used them for many years over my local one. Dealer limits those special cars to California residents only. Enjoy!

It looks like the front is now a triple rate dual stack design like the rears on the regular kit. I talked to the guys at Evolve and they speak very highly of the new Hybrid setup especially on CS/CSL's. I am going to give them a shot, but it will be a couple weeks before I get them on. Also have the CSL engine/trans mounts coming, Dinan front monoballs, and G83 Vert braces. I'm on the fence about also doing rear toe/traction links. Sometimes the rear can feel a bit "floaty" during hard transitions. I'm just worried about NVH with so many solid mounts.

Did you notice any difference or changes after adding the G83 braces?

Thanks for the details-- is the price close to 3k? At that level might as well go full bore coil no?

Just about $2,500 shipped which isn’t far off a set of Ohlin R&T. I agree and I am still not sure why I chose this route 😂. I think the CS has different dampers and tuning from the factory so I felt “bad” just chucking them but I hope I don’t regret my decision. If it doesn’t work out to my liking I’ll sell them and go big with a set of KW V4’s

I actually haven’t installed them yet. I’ll be doing it at the same time as everything else so it will be hard to hone in on just the braces. I know it was a fairly popular mod on the e92/e93 and previous gen’s. In the past adding chassis braces on my other cars has always helped without any negatives. I like the fact that BMW designed it so it should add meaningful torsional rigidity to the rear.

I think Im gonna roll the dice with KW as my shop said I can reverse it for free so Im the crash test dummy on the CS. The job takes a net 2 hours max so Ill post up thoughts about the looks and the driveability on the street as I wont track it.

I know the M Perf kit is good too but the drop is limited--- what about H&R VTF? I dont see that its applicable for the CS but KW is. Yet the regular H&R springs are available for the CS but carry the same part number for the Non CS X drive LOL... fucking H&R

Sure, this is the diagram and part list I used to base the order off. https://parts.bmwmonterey.com/a/BMW_...r/33_2838.html

You would need #6 V brace - Part# 33328746035, #7 - Cross Brace - Part# 33329882335, (2) #5 Hex bolts - Part# 07149229516 to connect the V Brace to the stock L& R stiffening plate, and (1) #8 Hex bolt - Part# 07119908280 to connect the Cross brace to the V Brace.

The only X factor is the diagram doesn't show how the #7 Cross Brace bolts onto the chassis. It looks like it has (4) mounting points that will probably use another (4) #8 Hex bolts but I can't say for sure until the shop gets in on the lift for install. If you get to it first please let us know

I don't think you'll be disappointed with the KW setup and don't see any issues with running them on the CS. It's hard to find out what exactly is different about the CS shocks but if anything, they should be stiffer and less prone to bottoming out when lowered.

Thanks, outside of the different part numbers my uneducated guess is different spring and damper rates for the CS. This is based on short driving time in the CS vs my X drive experiences over the past 2 plus years on the same roads, speeds, and M settings. The CS is more taut and has less compression and rebound. (stock vs stock)

BMWs stock ride height is just idiotic, there’s no other way to put it. Not a single other German automaker sets up their flagship performance cars like this.

Ultimately, the reason is probably because they’re trying to sell you the M Performance HAS for another 2k if you want it lower.

Front ride height is driven by handling and practicality. Appearance is secondary to all that. A potential upsell to a M Performance HAS kit isn't on the list.

I agree but I get why its set up that way. The BMW NA HQ is right by my house in North NJ and the roads are absolutely terrible here. Manholes set so deep and offset so you can't ride one side of the road to avoid them. Its mountainous and hilly so even the "smooth" road surface is constantly dipping and rutted. I see the test mules out here all the time. The stock suspension handles these roads better than any other comparable car I drove. Even saying all of that I'm still lowering it though because I can't have it look like a Dakar M3
