Yeah you can cut the stock ones or order the ones from IND for like $800. I have 305s on the front SCR3 and can’t even recall if the stock liners got in the way. I had a Motorsports shop do the install.

I bought them from AliExpress for couple hundred bucks. Super easy and cheap.
Also believe Hoosier R7 315/30/19 will fit in the front. They didn’t look wider then the SCr3. I may try them next time.

I did the same Ali liner mod and very happy. The 305/30 is about .5" smaller diameter than stock 275/35 so that helps with clearance too. Where it can get tricky is inner side wall clearance to the strut or coilover. There is no guarantee 305 will work with all setups in that regard.

Dang, if you get Hoosiers mounted up don’t forget to post the pics. You ever think about going to 18s and running slicks? Probably would have to run AP up front too but I’m just saying. With the SCR3s being as good as they are, I’m not sure if I’d be willing to make the jump. Except that the wear should theoretically be better and I’m guessing the tire would hold up to heat a little better. Here in central Texas that’s a thing.

I cannot go 18s because I have CCBs. Tire choices would be to easy if I could go 18s.

I did too but realized I needed to pull them off the car and sell them. Now I have the stock iron on there. But to go to 18s I think you need the AP kit. So are you tracking with CCBs and stock pads or are you using something else? I think these cars have been out long enough for companies like EBC and Girodisc to make iron rotor replacements with CCB calipers.

I’m patiently waiting for a steel rotor conversion. I didn’t know better when I ordered. I did do the speed engineering brake cooling kit.

I was racking up too many track days to keep running CCBs. Bought some stock iron/calipers from a totaled m3 via eBay for around $2500 and sold the CCBs for 5k. Not that I think that’s some kind of sweet deal but just letting you know that it’s not too bad when you do it that way. Because it could be a while longer but who knows. Good call on the speed engineering kit.
