Excellent! I guess this is the part where I start checking the status even more frequently than I have been to date...

I literally LOL everytime I see that meme. You're probably a day or two behind at the most, and will likely be on the same boat. That means I'll be sitting here with my car finished waiting on "slow pokes" like yourself!

Lol, same. I think most of the people here have build dates of the 19th or 20th. Mines the 21st. Hopefully on the same ship!

Up until today, mine was saying 11/20, so I’d be surprised if yours doesn’t move tomorrow.

Have you bought an oil cooler grille and booked a PPF appointment?

It goes fast - I went from "In the Paint Shop" to "Dispatched from Factory" in 2 days!

Have the oil cooler guard in hand and doing a PPF/Ceramic/Tint shop tour / likely booking this week.

I'm testing the theory that the more I refresh the status in my app, the faster my car will move thru the process.

So far, results are inconclusive. Must continue testing... 😁

Mods I will be doing IMMEDIATELY at delivery:
  • M Performance Style Carbon Lip (RW Carbon)
  • 20mm front lowering kit (Eibach)
  • 10mm spacers all around (Future Classic)
  • Oil Cooler Guard (MAD)
  • Front and rear deflector delete (front paint matched, rear black gloss horizontal slats from IND)

Mods I will do AFTER break-in:
-MAD Resonated Mid Pipe
-SST Valve Controller
-CSL Flash for Suspension/Steering

I may do a front bumper PPF - jury is still out. I'm gonna drive the shit out of this thing/it will be my daily, so I don't see any reason to try too hard to preserve it. PPF doesn't help retain any value from a resale perspective anyways.

If I trade it in for an upgrade, it'll be in 3-5 years, at which point it'll only be worth 40-70k anyways (idk how much M cars actually depreciate I just made those numbers up)

Honestly wasn’t even aware of the oil cooler issue. Coming from an F80 and haven’t paid much attention to the G80s because I wasn’t planning on buying one until I got rear ended. Looks like MAD cooler guard should be decent for the price. Now to see if there is any Black Friday sale for it.

F80 has the same setup. I think, because there’s no real achilies heel on the S58 it’s a little blown out of proportion on the G80.

Nice! I’m on the fence on PPF as well. Had the front of my F80 done and it honestly started to look bad after a couple years where corners started coming undone, and dirt got under it, etc. Leaning towards not doing it again but I plan to do a few track days a year and it can be a lifesaver for track debris.

As for mods, don’t have any planned yet (except an oiler cooler guard apparently!). Bought a winter wheel and tire setup from another member on here, and buying some track wheels/tires (Apex VS5Rs in Motorsport Gold I think) during Black Friday sale.

Blown WAY out of proportion. A solution to a problem that doesn’t really exist.

Look hard enough, you’ll find a problem.

I assume you have a full mesh covering all front openings? A solution to a problem and I can link that solution if you need me to.
