BMW North Scottsdale has a M3 in route that someone just cancelled on. The CA who sent me a text said they expect it in 3-weeks. It's in oxide grey with black interior.

Scottsdale here.. Waiting for an allocation and i'm honestly still a bit on the fence if i'll take it or not. If anyone local wants to let me check out their car in person I'll bring beer!
I'm not asking to drive it.. Just have some time to talk about it, check it out in detail without the sales pressure! Would definitely enjoy sitting passenger for a spin though! |

Hey all...greetings from Flagstaff. I'm in the process of working with arrowhead on ordering a G80 base. They are very friendly, and no pressure, but man, they have, shall we say, car dealership communication skills that differ greatly from any other car dealer I've ever worked with. Days go by without responses to email, and only typically show up when I ping them again. But, from reading the thoughts in this thread, it looks like I'm already dealing with the best of the valley, so I'll just hold my thoughts and be patient with them. They are selling at MSRP, so that's good, and I think they're trying to lock me into another allocation that someone else bailed on (the sales manager said he was going to check into color changes on an allocation and get back to me). So, that's where I am at.
On another note, I originally tried to go Individual (Violet Blue over Fiona Red), but was told, after waiting a week for them to nail down the price of Violet Blue, that their Individual vehicles were languishing indefinitely, and that they highly suggested I go with one from the stock palette. So, there's that too.

I worked with Arrowhead briefly also. They seemed fine. Is this going to be your daily up there? We've thought about moving up north for awhile now and not sure if you can daily an M3/M4 with the winter? |

I've have snow tires for an e39 M5, and a couple of e46 M3s before, and they work, but only to a certain extent. Once the snow gets deep enough, you need AWD and clearance to really get around. I've got snows for my e91 (she's a manual, too), and good all seasons for my x3, so I'm set. The challenge with using a low clearance vehicle for DD duties is that there are times when the parking lots and neighborhood exits turn to big, chunky ice, and that's where you really want the higher clearance. Snow tires will get you traction on it no problem, even in a high horsepower RWD sled, but that ice can take off body trim. Ask me how I know.
All that being said, there's a good chance I'll buy a set of winters for the G80, as I won't want to be out of the seat for so long. I mean, what's another 2k when you're already in it for 80? lol.

Hey y'all! Chapman BMW has an allocation if anyone is interested. At MSRP. I'm from Cali and I was looking for my brother. Everything out here is 10k over Msrp. He ended not getting it.

I have had positive experiences at BMW North Scottsdale. My prior car had constant problems and I was ready to initiate a Lemon Law suit when the service manager asked me to let him try once more with BMW corporate since he agreed with me and an hour later BMW agreed to buy back my car.
The store has always had loaners available despite the current semiconductor problems (in addition to its own stock it uses Hertz but treats the Hertz cars as if they were the store vehicles as far as consumers are concerned). |

I think a decent amount of us now have our cars, right? We should try to get a meet up going and get all these G8x's lined up for some photos.

I'm originally from the Mesa area but living in Nashville TN currently. I head out that way often to visit my parents so you'll see me and my M3 out that way probably in March 2022 lol
