Getting G83 rollbar documentation

Good Morning all! Trying to find the documentation on the G83's roll-over pop-up bars as most places require documentation regarding them to be allowed. I know they have them, and talked with my dealer about it, but he wasn't sure where I could find documentation regarding it for that purpose. Does anyone else have any ideas or who I should contact for this?

Does it have the pop-out rollover protection like the newer BMWs do?

I don't have it anymore but yes it had the pop ups. The track manager (owner?) said he understands how the pop ups work but it would look like a vert flying around the track without any rollover protection. He didn't want to have people complaining or questioning him. This was back in 2004 so who knows now. I think he said that he might let it slide if it was a private track event.

doesnt matter, even deployed it would not pass the broom test that most tracks use to determine if your convertible rollover is sufficient.

put a broom stick in your dash against the windshield and then lay it on your rollover. If your helmet fits underneath as you sit in the drivers seat without touching pass..if not fail.

I don't think you can as they are probably deployed using a system similar to an airbag.

I am lucky local tracks around me allow verts.
