That's a stellar time, bodes well for the new platform. I always felt Sutcliffe hated the F8X series.

Saying it on a forum isn't quite as risky as saying it to a face

i dont believe they are 'correct'...i think they just compared the weights the manufacturers were providing and just went with the result. Seems like the G80 is being weighed differently than previous cars though so i would think his weight comment is a bit inaccurate. Even when comparing the manufacturers numbers tho something seems hokey...the giulia qf is up in the 3800 lb range i think

Maybe i have a fundamental misconception of the metric system haha but how can the M3 even be 170kg heavier than the Giulia? isnt that almost 400 pounds? car and driver listed the curb weight of the 2021 giulia QF at 3822 lbs. and isnt the M3 listed at 3890 with standard equipment and a driver included? i have a sneaking suspicion if you put those two exact cars he drove on scales theyd weight about the same. ohhh did he say 170kg heavier than the previous M3? i watched the video and i still dont remember lol

watched it again and wow he was talking about M3 vs Giulia. You get 185kg if you subtract the two weights they show you in the specs at the beginning. That is not even remotely close to accurate I dont think lol how does that make it into the video. Unless hes driving some super lightweight version of the giulia? i dont know too much about that car. Ive gotta object to his slightly cheaper comment as well especially if you want a carbon fiber roof and painted calipers lol

Sutcliffe is no joke either a very good driver, he did a test in a Honda F1 car in 2008 and was only 4/10ths slower than their own test driver around the Silverstone national circuit.

Most impressive part of the video outside of the time is when he said if you didn't know the weights of the cars you would think the BMW is the lighter car. As I said before weight is just a number.

So it took 4 years for BMW to squeak out a couple of tenths and beat the 2017 QV? Come on....what happened to BMW M, the one that used to lead driving dynamics and everyone else followed? And yes, I own an M3 and several other BMWs
