You are too quick, LOL.

Great video. Emphasis on lightweight; wondering if we’re going to see a weight decrease of over 100kg. Combined with other improvements, wouldn’t be entirely surprised to see a Ring time that’s sub-7:10.

Fantastic. Looks like CSL will retain normal-ish door cards, too. If they can make it lightweight mainly through the use of exotic materials and with minimal removal of handy options like Comfort Access and Surround View parking cameras, that will be ideal.

I feel fuzzy inside after watching this. I love that they seem to have taken the street manners into consideration.

Those cup2'r will surely be costly to replace every few track days gotta pay to play they said.

Exoctic materials == $$$. Can't wait to see what they're going to price the car at.

I recall van Meel saying in an interview that the CSL will have water injection as the F82 GTS. I really hope that was smoke and mirrors cause that sh*t sucks to maintain and carry around. My guess? It doesn’t have it.

It's not going to have that. That's a really old interview, from before the car was even under development.

This is great. I spent the video reading the subtitles, but also pausing and reviewing every angle they offered on the video.

Something is up with the wheels, and the stance. Either the wheel spacing, or the wheels, themselves. It's also nice to see Sport Cup 2Rs available. These will be Star marked, so, this offers yet another option for the all out track driver. The trunk is obvious. What's not so obvious, or maybe it is, is the driver's seat. Looks to be McLaren Senna Spec. Which is a non adjustable shell, with just padding. I'm going to go with a 540hp guess. I'm also going to guess this car will be a 7:20:00 or quicker, on the Ring. Keeping in mind that the xDrive G82, is already 00:1:00 quicker than the M5CS on the Ring. Also, take notice, no iD8

Guessing with the S58 impressive tech and improvements over the S55 we can assume it doesn't need it. Its a a cool system but in the real world an annoyance when doing track days.

May 20 can't come soon enough !

I'm guessing even faster since the Cup2'r have proven to shave up to 7 seconds on a lap alone.

I agree staying on ID7 keeps the car more focused on the driving.

I revised my post. I meant to post 7:20 or faster.

Epic.

Going to upset a lot of exotics on track time.

Promising.. however seeing full leather interior is a bit disappointing knowing that they could still get it lighter still. Optimistic they reveal a proper curb weight on this thing knowing it'll have the CSL badge.

I don't think the 4 series was going to get iDrive 8 until 2024 model year. Should expect to see it next year.

I’d say that’s a very conservative guess and more or less guaranteed. The PSC2 R alone almost get you there and with 40 hp extra you’re there. Then you have 100 kg plus weight savings and most likely high end coilovers for firmer better damping, better aero and a likely lower cog and my guess is between 7:10 and 7:15. And I suspect 540 hp is bs and the engine will effectively generate a lot more power than what is expected from the rated output.

It's definitely a possibility. I agree with BMW under rating their cars. I just talking about 540hp or (550ps) on paper. To me, these are typical HP increase numbers for BMW. Look at the F80/ 82. Increased to 440. The M5CS, barely gained any HP. What, 2hp?

Im not knocking it, but Honda did something similar, to their Type R, Special Edition, although, didn't remove 100+kg from their car, but went with a track spec, better tires, and dampers, and BBS forged lightweight wheels, and only knocked a few tenths of a second off.

Not sure how I feel about that super wide splitter with the side flicks though. Wasn't a fan of big side flicks on the skirts (and behind the rear wheels) on the G8X series MP parts - looks like it's permanent on the CSL splitter. Loving the grille though.
