I noticed there's a spot in the middle of my upright section where you can see more of the Kyalami orange as if the black was scratched off or something. Not sure how it even happened.

Yea, mine. I got in with jeans and the little metal rivet thing on the pocket and it made a light scrape. I fucking see it every time I get in. I’ll snap a pic later; drives me bananas.

I guess they're using some sort of leather skin overlay on that region. I hope it's not that delicate, I don't even know what I could have had in the middle of my back that could have done it.

I feel like BMW just painted a matte black something over the orange; I bet it is

Would take 5 minutes to dye that back. Super easy repair. Just don't get any in the holes. That said, these orange seats are hideous.
