Except one small issue, flows much less with what they engineered and designed the flow to be....for this new package. They aren't stupid. Form follows function on cars like this and it's always a compromise.

I've been silent on the polls, but I'll say it now. There were a few comments by folks doing backflips early on because 80%+ liked/loved the new design with only about 50 votes in. I refrained from chiming in at the time.

I personally don't care if the post-reveal poll is at 95% like/love it because the real story is in the voting numbers. Go back to the original poll with 541 votes where 171 folks (32%) said they liked the design. Only 107 people at this point voted in favor of the new design. Now anyone who favors the design, I'd expect to be hanging around, whereas some portion of those who were turned off just might not be returning (or were banned). In the end, this represents a shortfall of 64 votes, and as far as I'm concerned, the community acceptance rate has dropped to just under 20% which is worse than prior to the reveal. That's what the numbers tell me. In the end, sales will tell the real story.

I do like the Prior Design renders, certainly better than OEM. But I'm in the same boat as others. I'm not interested in paying to fix BMW's design mistakes.

I feel like anyone who changes the design this dramatically will make the car look dated in the very near future, if not immediately. The same went for the older generation and people wanting a 1M style bumper on their E9x. It looked okay at best for a week or so, then dated shortly there after.

I like the intent, but I think it'll have very little adoption. It's essentially an M8. I find hard to believe people spending $5k to make their G80 cars look older.

What we need is a new hood with the bulge and without the raised nostrils.

I know a cheap solutions:
get the car in black
or
for other colors, wrap the front bumper/hood in black or camouflage film to lessen the visuals. Paint protection is a bonus.

How will it look older?
Current 8series, Z4, M5, M2 etc all have This “normal” grill. It definitely looks better!
Why would anyone want to look like M8 - its only ///M flagship car and costs $150k 😂

How is this any different than putting on new Custom Forged wheels which cost well over $5k or exhaust system etc. A New bumper is a fairly mild modification as long as fit and finish are good. I'm sure IND is working on a solution.

You can't judge a car by camo miles and poorly lit leaked images. That poll is less accurate than the current poll where dissenting voices can't even cast a ballot. With peace and love.

I like this one, with the change of body color under the grilles.

Oh yeah, let me cough up twice the cost for a car that I can barely afford to begin with. Why not just go with a Huracan while we are at it.

PS - hate the design of the new grill like 75% of the members on this forum. Love the designs and flow of these renders.

I'm a BMW aficionado passed down from my grandfather to father, but just like my stocks I'm not married to the brand. A C63 or Tesla is turning my head, this ☝️ would turn it back.

The grills on these alternatives look awful. Wth is going on with their squared off shape. Original looks way better. Give me a grill that looks like the csl hommage and then we'll talk

This is the first time I've seen someone make the argument that the front end is a function first design.

The kidney grilles themselves NEEDED to be 8x larger for which purpose?

1) Love the wide body kit.

2) What I dislike more than the grills is the double scoop design on the hood. It just reminds me of an old Firebird, and it forces the grills to be in weird places, even in these renders. If there is any one thing I want back, it's a power dome hood with actually good looking grills.

3) I'd like some not-Lexus tail lights too.

I prefer the new standard grilles...

Looks very predictable with the aftermarket renders.

Exactly, all those cars have been out for years now with the old grille; it's old!

Why would anyone want it to look like an old car they can't sell and are cancelling? No thanks.

The powerful 4-cyl C63?

Sorry, had to do it.

I've been preaching this for a few months now.

What this car needs is a new hood that gets rid of the double raised nostrils and adds a bulge.

Any Photoshop experts care to visualize this?

Does installing an after market part like that kill warranty on the car?
