Will my BMW USA warranty be affected if I move overseas for a year and half?
If the scheduled regular maintenance is performed by a foreign BMW authorized dealer while I live overseas(for work) for a year and half, will BMW USA care?
Once I return, will the two remaining years of my BMW USA still be good? |

As long as you have the documentation you did the maintenance you are good, same as if you can prove you did your own maintenance. Hard to say what they would say for a warranty claim if you have one, call BMW USA and ask.

Yup, as long as the maintenance is done, the warranty still applies. As noted above, only BMW can say with certainty how/if a warranty claim will be handled during the 18-month period that you're out of country. But either way, when you return it will be back to normal.

It should meet the same standards whether it be US or international. The warranty follows the car and vin but not sure if the data from different countries are shared.

I'm in Europe right now and I would suggest asking BMW NA if your warranty will be valid outside the US. I planned on purchasing a new BMW and having it shipped to Germany prior to moving here, but BMW NA and the dealership told me that BMW NA warranty is only valid within the US. European BMW dealers will do warranty work on US spec cars if purchased through the diplomat/military sales overseas. Just doublecheck with BMW NA .. nothing to loose.
