A customer of ours just logged our front Mount intake 40 -130.

Car is a stage 2 50% e85 map Difference of 11 degrees. The factory intake was about 4 degrees more on the same type of run and similar outside temp.

Mods:
Bootmod Flash
MAD Front Mount intake
Catless Downpipes
Exhaust

Hey, been following this thread. How do you like the intake now that you've had it for a couple months? Feel any heatsoak?

I have not seen any data showing heat soak with the arma intake.

Note: we stock arma intakes, so shipping is guaranteed within 1 business day and free

You meant ARM right not the ARMASPEED? Just making sure. My concern is due to not having a heatshield/heat protection with the turbos being so close. Might wrap the intake pipes in heatwrap if it'd help.

I had a open filter intake on my B9 S4 and had no issues with heatsoak over 4 years (never checked with Temps etc but couldn't feel any hesitation) but it did come with a heatshield.

What part numbers did you use for the filters?

I may do this in the winter time and switch back during the summer.

Pipes are so short doubt they allow much time to heat soak. The heat soak would be coming from the hot engine air its forced to suck in.

Got it. So overall minimal if any. Probably would only realize it on track days when engine is under heavy load for longer periods of time.

Without logging your not likely to notice the smooth loss in horsepower from high intake temps and possible ignition timing changes but, it will be there.

If you plan to track or drive in hot weather I have to recommend a front mount or a shielded intake. Temps are serious on the track.

If you just want cool sounds and looks those intakes will be fine.
