Jasmin "Yaz" Guerrero. Highly recommended!

If you go to a reputable dealer, they won't charge you over MSRP.

In the MSRP acronym, it says SUGGESTED. They can charge whatever they want. We can pay it, or we don't have to. It's pretty basic supply/demand economics that most of us learned in our college classes. If the dealerships don't have inventory and lower their profit per vehicle sold, they won't stay in business. That's the reality of running a company.
I venture to say this model will stay around for a while. Because the dealers are saving millions in floor plan interest rates. The dealers would have hundreds of unsold inventory before COVID, paying millions in interest/penalties. The manufactures would give incentives to move units-causing all around losses. This new model saves manufactures and dealers millions, creating demand at the same time.

The only benefit we will receive is our cars will retain better value than before.

The market is moving with interest rates rising.

People that care more about economics than I can’t “tell the future”, but there are plenty of grumblings about.

Inflation like this just can’t be sustained though, so it will stop eventually. Let’s just hope we don’t get thrashed too hard.

We will remember who treated us well and who didn’t.
